Zing Stikbot Studio Pro Toy Figure

I bought this out of pure amusement. The box comes with 2 figures (orange and blue) which are not see through plastic. The box serves as both a blue and green screens when you attach the background board. The board (the vertical green screen seen on the front of the box picture) attaches to the base (the box) through a series of 4 notches/holes which makes it easy to place and remove but is not sturdy by any means and often will tilt due to the lack of support at the base. The box comes with 2 rectangular props which are green on one side and blue on the other and can be used on the stage. The camera holder that is included is big enough for an iphone (at least my iphone 5s) but do not see how it can support a larger phone such as the larger iphone 7s. The stand is somewhat sturdy but not as good as my other mini-tripods which I had purchased for under 10 dollars in the past. You can not tilt the tripod much and so you are forced to just take landscape type pictures. Of note, the app which anyone can download for free and use on any figures requires 10 photos for every second (10 fps) of video so if you would like to record a minute long series, you will need to take 600 photos and hope you have space for all the 600 photos on your phone. Of note also, the figures that come with this set seem to be of lower quality than the figures I had bought individually such as the monkey and the transparent green figure. I would recommend you download the app on your phone and then save your money and use toys like Lego to do the same thing as these figures are not easy to manipulate and do not allow for gradual moves as the figure is all connected together using elastic bands.

* UPDATE: Although one of the figures broke, the seller  Zing Stikbot Studio Pro Toy Figure  was awesome and sent a replacement as soon as we inquired. My son really enjoys the toy. 5 stars for the seller, 1 for the toy that broke, 4 for the toy had it not broken ;-)Original: This was my 9 year old son's favorite gift this Christmas. We had not even got so far as the app & camera. The day after Christmas the red bot broke at the waist. He was not rough with the toy, just used them as they are intended to be used.

My 10yr old had mentioned stikbots a while before Christmas but yet, she didn't have them on her list. Since she loves to make movies and she's really into stop motion, I decided to add it to her list, myself. Of all the gifts she got this year, this has been the one she's enjoyed the most. She spent several hours at our dining room table on Christmas day, playing with just this. Making movies, cracking up. Nice gift!

My son really likes it, the item itself is (his words) "awesome and fun and imaginative "- however, and this has nothing to do with the product. .after some trial and error ...we found that there's a Different app with green screen etc that works MUCH Better. .the actual stikbot app doesn't perform very well.

Stikbots themselves are awesome, this stage though is just ok. It is just cardboard and that obviously doesn't hold up forever, also a pain to store. Kids loved posing the bots, but they work better on other surfaces than the "studio". I would recommend just the figures and making your own set up

My daughter is in 5th grade and she is having a blast making movies with this. She's added her own props. Starts with lots of pictures and makes it into a short movie. You can change backgrounds with the green screen. She's enjoying it. The StikBots are great car toys since they stick so well to the windows. We also use them in the bathtub for hours of fun.

Love it but the people don't seem to hold their poses and fall down. Trying different ways to hold their bodies. But the program is great. It's fun making animation and it's so cool to watch the creativity over flowing with it

Unfortunately we haven't been able to play with it much because even though the game says Android 5.0 or higher can download the app, that isn't the case. My son's phone isn't new by any means but it isn't ancient either, and his phone isn't compatible with the app. It has Android 6x. All he wants to do is play with his Christmas present and he has to use his mom's phone to do it.
