My family and I have been using this fiber for many many years. What's great about it is that it dissolves completely (doesn't alter the taste of your foods/drinks) and it's made with guar gum and not wheat dextrin. Guar gum is a highly studied soluble fiber that has been shown to improve lipid values and blood sugar levels.
