Brilliant. You need lots to fully cover property
Great if you have a SimpliSafe alarm. You need lots of them to cover leaks but will save you money on building damage when leaks occur. Yes they work - we had a slow leak that one spotted.

Essential part of the alarm system
An essential part of a Simplisafe system. We had a leak and didn't know about it. Much damage ensued. Purchased this in case of future leaks. Tested in a saucer of water and it's very responsive.

Worked Well Initially, but Has Stopped Responding
I bought this water sensor to add to my existing SimpliSafe setup, and it integrated with the rest of my system without any problems. My other SimpliSafe devices have continued to work well. Unfortunately, after around a year or two of use, this sensor stopped responding. I’ve tried removing and reinserting the battery to reset it, but so far that hasn’t resolved the issue. I’m still troubleshooting, so I’m not sure whether it’s the battery, the sensor itself, or something else. It worked as expected while it was functioning, but based on my experience, the long-term reliability has been a little disappointing.

Didn’t alert to water leak
Just had a water leak and the simplisafe leak sensor was actually submerged in water by the time I found the leak - no alert from simplisafe. I removed it from the waterlogged area, and then it alerted. Worse than useless because I was relying on it.
