Review: Clean clothes with no scent! - I’m so picky about detergent these days. I hate anything artificially scented. I can’t stand chemical smells, especially on my clothes. The scent from the big name detergent brands stays on clothes all day long (by design) and it genuinely makes me nauseous. I’m not a hippy, but I also want to try and live a long healthy life. I’ve been using the unscented detergent from Seventh Generation for years now. I love how well they work, even for a family with messy kids. Dirt, mud, spaghetti sauce, even coffee if you throw it in the wash quick enough. It all comes out. Clothes come out completely unscented. Not even a little bit of a smell, which is exactly what I want. I don’t really have any complaints. Solid product that’s worth trying if you want zero scent and a more natural detergent. Gentle, Effective, and Eco-Friendly
I’ve been using the Seventh Generation Free & Clear Laundry Detergent Packs (90 loads) for several months now, and they’ve become a staple in my household. With family members who have sensitive skin, finding a detergent that cleans effectively without causing irritation has always been a challenge. These detergent packs have exceeded my expectations. These packs are hypoallergenic and free from fragrances and dyes, making them ideal for sensitive skin. Despite being gentle, they tackle everyday stains efficiently. Our clothes come out clean and fresh without any residue. Knowing that this product is plant-based and environmentally friendly gives me peace of mind. It’s reassuring to use a product that’s safe for both our family and the planet Water Temperature: While the packs dissolve well in warm and hot water, I’ve found that in colder washes, they may not fully dissolve, occasionally leaving a slight residue. To mitigate this, I ensure to place the pack in the drum before adding clothes and sometimes opt for a slightly warmer setting

I like the "better for the environment" aspect!
Personally, for my bedding and clothes, I don't care about scent one way or another unless it's too strong a scent, however, for my dish towels and the mat I use to drain my dishes that I may not that day put in the dishwasher I prefer no scent - nothing worse than picking up the coffee cup you set on the dish-mat to drain and have your coffee taste like detergent you washed with, yuck. My dish towels came out clean and without any "kitchen odor" - just, again, no scent at all. As well, when my brother comes to visit, he has to have detergent that is scent-free, and usually brings his own. Now I'll have these pods for him to try instead. But I do love that this product is better for the environment! I went by their website and poked around. They talk about "plant based" products and environmental concerns with other manufacturing processes. There's a whole line of "environmentally friendly" products from this company. Worth a look into. That is what the four stars are for, the environmental aspects, because if the price listed at $45 for two bags of this is correct, I'd likely think twice before purchasing. However, I also consider that laundry detergent isn't cheap even when you purchase it at discount stores, so there's that, and for my small loads where most of the time I'd use one pod, 90 loads will go a long way. But, other than the great environmental considerations, which is after all a wonderful thing, really, this detergent isn't any better nor is it any worse than my regular detergent. I'd solely purchase this for the environmental aspects and that's it. If you have really soiled or large loads of laundry, you will need to use two pods per load, but I have just my clothes and most of the time a small load that I would use just one pod. I received two bags of this and it will be enough to wash my clothes for a long time. For two loads of regular wash, I used one pod and, again, my clothes were clean and fresh. For a load where I had some jeans that I'd been working in the garage in and that same day was in an area where there was burned logs and heavy soot (don't know what the stain is-grease, soot, something else), I used two pods. My clothes came out smelling of, well, nothing! But they were clean and fresh. I have a photo below where I have the stain on my pant leg and most of the stain came out. I didn't pre-treat it, but just let the detergent do its thing. I'd recommend this if you are "detergent sensitive" as my brother is, if you are looking for a detergent that is better for the environment than "regular detergent," and if you do not want scented laundry detergent.
