This was a present for my niece. She gives it rave reviews for use in assembling furniture, and general household use (tightening face plates, small gadget repair, etc) She says battery lasts a long time each charge and has plenty of power for her needs. Plus, it fits her hand well (she is petite). The case is especially importnat as it helps her keep it all in one place ready to go --- no searching for misplaced bits, different drivers etc

I used it extensively while assembling my new office desk, and it performed really well. I purchased this for a Christmas present for my fiance and I was hesitant because of its unique size and kind of unusual power level I don't mean that in a derogative way I mean compared to construction grade battery operated cordless drills and impact drivers the lower voltage is a lot less popular I didn't even know they made them this low but the power is there The torque is there The speed is there And out of all the gifts I got her she opened it up right away and put it on the charge and started using it I don't have a bad thing to say about it It's perfect for her she's petite she has smaller hands and fingers and hasn't done construction or home improvement our whole life like I have so she's a bit awkward and unskilled doesn't hope things correctly doesn't quite know how to line things up but This pistol grip screwdriver was designed with those things in mind there's attachments and things like that that help hold screws in place and line things up in the LED lighting actually focuses on the area that she needs it too she's been using it for a couple months and hasn't put it back on the charger yet so obviously the battery is outstanding. She used my DeWalt 20 volt cordless screwdriver quite a bit and almost any time she used it I would always hear her say "ouch" or "dang it" And then here's things drop on the floor or bounce off a chair because the learning curve for using those things is pretty steep and it's intimidating to a novice like her those screwdrivers have a lot of power and they're heavy with the bigger batteries but I haven't heard her drop anything or out or dang it I just hear happy sounds like giggling or "yes! Perfect" last thing I heard her say was "I did it I love this thing!" So she loves it and she's proud of her Skil screwdriver kit. I haven't bought skill in a long time and I'm happy to say that as her abilities increase and her interest follow I'll be looking into the other products they have available for DIY and home improvement. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a good quality cordless screwdriver for a young girl or boy or a woman that may shy away from the 20 volt screwdrivers and impacts you find at Home Depot for too much money and come separately from the battery which is always more than the unit itself 😁 Some features are the adjustable clutch and speed control The LED lighting is excellent It's very durable It has a thoughtful bit kit that comes along with it it's got a good quality case it comes in with a plexiglass lid so you don't have to open the case to see what's in it like every case that came with any tool in the history of mankind. The charge time was surprisingly fast and the battery charge lasts a very long time she is yet to recharge it and it's been months another thing that she commented about is how quiet it is and it doesn't hurt her wrist when she pulls the trigger, It starts smoother than that helps or not lose the screw or whatever she's trying to tighten and it's less intimidating taking the fear of using ii out of her thoughts. Oh I almost forgot the bits don't fall out of the adapter or the extension because they're magnetic so they stay right there on the drill and she sets the screws on the first attempt every time. I'm writing this review from a third person perspective because I've yet to be allowed to even so much as pick it up yet alone use it lol. She's protective of her cordless Skil screwdriver she doesn't leave it laying around and I'm not sure where she stores it when she's not using it hahaha. That's the mentality of a person that's been raised with brothers or sisters right there, but it tickles my heart that she's so proud of her gift and anything that gives her that much joy has got my appreciation and it's nice to be giving Skil my hard earned money again, it has been a long time since I've purchased anything they've made but they have a niche product and it's darn good quality and technology and very thoughtfully engineered so they've done some homework and scored an A+ on the test as far as my little lady is concerned, so hey SKIL, thank you very much! I look forward to doing business with you guys again and keep up the great work I hope this review will persuade others to give you guys a try I know they won't be disappointed when they do!

As advertised however it doesn't come with a charging block just the cable. That not a problem for most of us just be aware. Solid product other then that

Absolutely amazing, great for projects and great to just mess around with, it’s like a certified adult toy that can be used for projects, and the magnetic bit is just amazingly useful, this little drill is fun and useful

Works great and has more power than expected. Not a premium screw gun but gets the job done.

So far I am SUPER impressed by this tool. This set is fabulous. I was debating spending the extra $15 & getting the case & extra bits & thought OK why not. This is a REALLY nicely designed box. Everything that comes out of it goes back in easily. It is well thought out & set up for someone to actually use it. The selection of bits is really excellent! I had been going buts trying to fund a set that actually had the smaller square bit. I could find sets with all kinds of different bits but they were missing one of the square bits, a smaller philips (#1), etc.. This one has everything! it also has a little box for extras (how cool is that!?!) how often do you want to stash a special bit or something in the case & there is no room or place to put it (i.e., my 3/8 in socket set has no 3/8 to 1/4" or 1/2" adapter and it is almost impossible to fit one in the case! SUPER annoying). So I am charging it right now & will do more of a review in a few after I replace a few receptacles... I am hoping the magnetic bits do not fall out easily & that it has enough torque... stay tuned :-) Follow up - OK still like this a lot BUT there is definitely a lot of torque and there is no way to turn it up or down so I need to use another manual driver to finish off screws & sometimes to start them. AND I found the one blade they dont have... a 2" flat head. They have 2" Philips & square but not flat-head. I can create one with the longer bit holder & one of the small bits but I didn't realize that when I was trying to screw in super long screws & the driver was too fat for the slot the hole was at the bottom of. Also, I have small hands & it take a bit to get used to. I have a manual ratcheting multi-bit screwdriver that can also be bent at about 40 degrees. It is my go to and I LOVE it. Orchard Supply Hardware sold them for $3 or $4 before they closed the first time. I wish I had more of them. I have tried other ones, and they just don't work as well. This is an exceptionally good little screwdriver, and I've been using it for over twenty years. Still works as well as it used to, but even tho they are shaped the same, it's a lot smaller than this. So that's what I'm comparing it to, which isn't really fair. so I find this is a little cumbersome. I just need to get used to it like any new tool. I still love it. I still think it's a great kit. I just need to adjust to using it because I've never used an electric screwdriver. Drills, yes. Screwdrivers, no.

This tool came in in good time. I recently moved and this tool has been put to the test. I used it so much that I'm on my 3rd charge. The tool is powerful enough to sink screws in wall beams. The battery last two days of steady use. I'm not a contract but as a honest owner I use it a lot. It's compact fits perfect in my hands, it come with a sturdy case, and a good assortments of bits.

Es un producto sumamente recomendable , este aparato se siente pesado que se traduce a que tiene calidad de ensamblado, el estuche es fantástico es de muy buena calidad , no se siente corriente , trae muchas puntas , extensiones , de las medidas más utilizadas, me fascinó que la tapa gris es articulada para acceder al compartimiento de abajo donde está su cable para cargar y manual , estoy maravillado , es práctico , pequeño , en general con todo su estuche cabe muy bien en cualquier cajuela de auto sin llegar a ser estorboso, es una producto altamente recomendable que no debe faltar en tu ser de herramientas .

Hasta ahora funcionando bien para tareas básicas, no tiene la potencia que otros atornilladores más “pro” pero solventarás tareas sencillas. Tenía un modelo de la misma marca adquirido hace unos 15 años y siento que la calidad de los acabados es poco menor en este modelo. Bien por la cantidad de puntas incluidas que se adaptan a gran cantidad de condiciones.

Holds battery charge pretty well and is pretty powerful. I have used it for driving in drywall screws, changing out hinges and putting up ikea furniture.

I bought this Skil drill for around the house repairs. It’s the perfect size for me! Great instructions and easy to use! I would recommend this drill hands down!!
