Worked great in my 454 Mag MPI
Worked great in my 2000 Mercruiser 454 Mag MPI. Back plate is stainless steel as it should be for marine use. The gaskets worked just fine but make sure you use gasket dressing. Also, use thread sealant with PTFE on the threads of the bolts - I went with Permatex 80632, also from Amazon.After install, ran cool, quiet and with no leaks. No problems after 10 hours of use.

Cheap
The pump arrived and was much cheaper made than original. Casting was so much thinner with cheaper bearings. After I installed it I found a hairline crack where the hose nipple was installed and had to remove the pump as it was leaking badly. Never again would I buy this pump.
