Having come from a wired headset world I had enjoyed the experience but was frustrated by the wire catching on things or having to be managed. I was also aware that there was the potential for some latency in wireless headsets that could affect some of the more competitive games. These were highly recommended and reviews of the headsets suggested that the latency issues were addressed.And they were rightThis gaming headset is very comfortable to wear and surprisingly light. The 50mm drivers are quite astonishing in the depth of sound produced and are actually quite musically adept. The dedicated wireless dongle connects effortlessly to the headset and can manage to work well even when I am 10 ft away from the PC. Past that or behind masonry they do struggle but it's unlikely I will be using them beyond that distance. The best thing is that there is little to no latency and games where this is important have not been adversely affected. I can keep up with my grandson on Fortnite with no problem. The headset comes with a bag, a micro USB charging cable, and a 3.5mm jack cable so I can use the headset on numerous devices.If I had one niggle it would be that the mic is very quiet unless in the perfect position for your mouth. But when that's resolved my voice comes in clear to my squad mates.These are excellent for watching films as well given their THX credentials which, while difficult to find content that uses it, is excellent.The fact that these aren't caparisoned with an excess of RGB lighting (the only micro LED serves as an 'on' and 'charging' indicator) like many other gaming peripherals is an added bonus as I really don't want to look like a neon billboard while playing.So they may be a little pricey but the engineering and quality certainly makes them worth the price. I don't think I will be going back to wired headsets any time soon.

After being persuaded not to buy Corsair Virtuosos for lack of comfort, build and battery life, and being tired of HyperX's abysmal mic quality and the limited freedom of being wired, I arrived at this headset, and I'm 100% recommending this to anyone who truly cares about going wireless. With a bit of tweaking, this is also hands down one of the best wireless mics you can get.Build - 6/10Only had this for a few days, but a solid headset. It definitely doesn't feel like you can break this thing super easily, but I would recommend to be careful with it - as you are dealing with small mute and power buttons, thin adjustment rods, as well as a charging port that sits quite deep inside. The mic however is very rigid and of course detachable therefore replaceable.Sound Quality - 8/10Wired headsets like the HyperX cloud do have phenomenal sound quality, and this Razer headset cannot quite match it in that area - but, it is incredibly well balanced, not too bassy, not too loud and not too quiet. If you turn the volume on the headset towards max though, you start hearing a slight buzzing sound from the earcups. I've seen this complaint on several different wireless headsets though; and plus you can't hear it if something else is playing. Keeping the volume neutral is plenty loud enough for gaming and listening to music.Mic quality - 9/10Word of warning - mic quality on wireless headsets is generally always bad. The microphone on the Blackshark V2 pro does not offer to change that. With no software tweaks it's really bad, but there's a very good reason why this was my #1 choice on mic quality in the wireless range. Razer Synapse software allows you to adjust the EQ of your mic - and I've found some perfect settings that make it sound unbelievably good for a headset, never mind a wireless one. If you don't want to tweak, you can stick the 'broadcast' preset on to get the most out of this. I personally use [4,3,2,1,-1,-8,-7,0,1,2].Comfort - 8.5/10This headset sits comfy and you can forget it's on, but it's obviously a tad heavier than your average wired one. That being said, if comfort is a concern, this headset will not disappoint you - my ears don't get hot or start hurting, it stays on and is easy to adjust with the rod system by just pulling it around.Range - 7/10This headset works from about 10-15ft away, if you're planning to stray a few rooms away it should be fine, but don't expect it to work from downstairs or the other end of a large house.

I put the 4 stars for 4 different reasons that I liked the headphones. Comfort, Aesthetic, Sound quality and Build. Each of these I loved about the headphones and was a big win for me, they were incredibly comfortable, strong build, the sound from my game was amazing and they looked great. the over ear cushions were really nice and let my ears breath as well as noise cancelling the sound around me to an okay level. For a strong and rigid build they are fairly lightweight which I liked as it didn't push my head down. The one star that is missing that I don't think is talked about enough in the reviews is the mic quality, for this amount of money I wanted a good gaming headset of which I got half. I put 4 stars because I wanted to be fair about the product as they are very good.However, the mic, before the Razer black sharks, I used and have since gone back to using my headphones that I have been using for 8 years, the turtle beach PX24, they have lasted me forever and I love them, the right ear has snapped off but is held on by the audio cable and still makes good sound, people in games have said I have a nice voice or sound like a radio producer because my microphone is so good and asked what mic/headset I had so they could get it. I say all of this because they have given me very high standards for gaming headsets should be like, they are a cheap headset that hasn't deteriorated in quality since the day I got them. Meaning when I bought the Razer blackshark V2 I had all of this in mind. For the Blackshark V2 mic, my friends were saying at first that I sounded like I was talking into a tin can, after some tweaking on a few different programmes on Razer to configure them that issue was gone, but I also cut in and out while talking, as well as my voice volume would fluctuate every sentence, meaning my friends only heard half of the sentence. they couldn't tell what I was saying and I always went from quiet to loud or vice versa. Even with trying to configure them more and tweaking different settings for hours with my friends giving feedback, nothing made it better, and we deduced that it was just the bluetooth connectivity that wasn't able to transport my voice in good quality as that is a common problem. Not saying another bluetooth headset won't be better but just for me it wasn't good enough. This was a massive let down as they had been so good up until this point and I was so sad to send them back, but at least I went back to the px24's which I would buy again but I want something different.If you have a separate standalone mic then these couldn't be better for you, highly recommend, but im a student and I don't want to spend more money than this to put a separate microphone as I simply don't have it as im meant to be saving.Overall they're a very solid headset very nice and very comfortable, the sound that comes through the ears in amazing and I could wear them really comfortably for the hours on end that I was trying to fix the microphone. Like I previously said if you have a separate microphone or are looking to buy a separate microphone the the hyper x quad cast s is a very good one (my gf has it), it looks cool and sounds amazing, with these headphone it would be the dream set up for me but I don't have the money to buy the microphone so that dream is going to have to wait for now. Have these for my new PC rig, quality headset. I didn't think the wireless would be so useful, but being able to get off of my chair without having to worry about being tied to it via my headset it helpful.Sound quality is great and I can barely hear anything outside of the noise coming from the speakers. My wife has to tap me on the shoulder more often than not for me to know she's chatting - result!Comfort is very good, I can wear these literally for hours and hours without ear discomfort. Very light considering the quality, so again you kind of forget you are wearing them.Robust too - they don't feel like they are going to break anytime soon and will last the test of time so long as I am careful. I recommend purchasing a desk hanging hinge for putting them out of the way when not in use!Battery charge time is very good, all done in an hour or two. Battery life is good, but you can always go wired whilst charging, so never need to go without having them.Works on my mobile nicely wired and sound is great.Negatives - the software, I found it difficult to know exactly what download was needed to control the set up of the headset. Minor issue which is now solved. I rarely ever mess with the sound settings, as the option it is setup for seems to work for almost everythinig, games or music.Music, ie non gaming; sound is great. Because the headset limits outside interferance it really lets the sound boom in a positive way.I was slightly dubious over buying these, but very pleased I've done so - even though they aren't cheap, but you get what you pay for.

Out of the box these headphones are pretty well built. Feel solid but not too heavy sitting on your head. The memory foam padding on the ear cushions and headband is very comfortable.I was a little disappointed by the sound quality at first. I use the headphones for gaming, listening to music and watching movies so I wanted good all round sound quality. The default (flat) EQ settings out of the box are not the best but once adjusted in Synapse the difference is night and day! (best EQ setting I've found are below). Music now sounds as good as it does on my £250 Sennheiser RS175s!Most importantly - TURN OFF THX SPATIAL. It's rubbish. It makes everything sound like you're in a tin can. If you want spatial sound for gaming then I've been using DTS Headphone X. It cost about £/$20 from the Windows store but it works brilliantly with these headphones! You really to get a sense of where the sound is coming from. Not just which direction its coming from but also the height its coming from. Full 3D sound! Its brilliant for gaming. I think you get a few weeks as a free trial so I'd highly recommend giving it a try. Windows Sonic (free with Windows 10/11) also works pretty well. You get a similar spatial affect but it seems to affect sound quality unlike DTS (not as bad as THX though!). You can also get Dolby Atmos for Windows which should offer a similar experience but I've not tried this yet so can't comment.All in all, highly recommended. No idea why the default EQ is so bad but once you adjust it you will have a top quality set of headphones, not just for gaming but for all round usage.EQ setting I'm using...31Hz -263Hz -1125Hz -3250Hz -3500Hz +11KHz 02KHz +34KHz -18KHz -416KHz +8

I have had them for about 2 weeks now, I ran into no immediate problems, the software reinstalled its self which was a nice change to other brands. The sound change was weird at first I couldn't use it it was too much of a change (THX SPATIAL SOUND), this might be due to the fact that, I was so use to it my one before but I ended up turning the custom sound settings off. Overall the sound quality does sound better than previous brands I have had.The over comfort is good although if u had a bit of ear sticking out of the side when talking to someone and forget to put the headset back on normally, u defiantly feel it and after a while does hurt. It does keep the ears at a good temp and didn't have to worry about taking head set off for a breather at all.The battery was good I don't really end up charging it more that ever 2-3 days, which is a nice change when atm i am using them about 16 hours a day. The plug out mic is really good and super nice change compared to other head sets but the quality is ok but its not the best sound. but the other appearance is rather good though I do worry about it breaking but it has broken yet.Buttons of the headset is rather nice having a volume control on the headset is really nice and I end up using more than i thought I would. The power button mute button are really nice and there is a dedicated audio jack which is free to use but i don't need to.(Update 1 Year later)Still great no problems, The battery life has certainly gone down in performance but I can still get about a day of charge. Mic Quality is still great and not problems with the removable mic, i thought this would be first to fail it didn't at all. Still 10/10

Where to start. Setup was awful. The audio and mic quality out the box both sound awful. The synapse software from razer is buggy, sometimes it didnt let me listen to the mic and side tone never worked at any point. Synapse would straight crash for no reason also.The stability of the connection between headset and PC is the worst Ive ever experienced. To use an example, I moved my mic away from my mouth to drink something, and the headset would disconnect even though I was 2ft away from the dongle. Any movement around the room would disconnect the headset. When it synced up again, more often than not it would cycle between connecting and disconnecting, constantly beeping on and off for up to 5 mins before it stabilised when I was doing nothing but sitting at my desk. I tried turning off my PC bluetooth to maybe get rid of a conflict? I donno I was desperate. I disabled every audio device and tried every fix I found. I even tried plugging the dongle into my front USB so there was nothing between the headset and PC. Nothing worked.Audio quality whilst gaming was ok, not the best not the worst 6/10. Music was sub par 4/10. This was using the best of both worlds custom EQ I could find after a long period of researching online.Mic quality was awful, even after me tinkering with it for literally 2 hours straight. My crappy no brand standalone mic somehow sounded much better.The ONLY thing that was good about the headset was that is was quite light and comfort was for sure well above average.Returned the next day. Never buying a Razer audio peripheral again. Shame cause the mice are pretty good.Thanks for listening to my Ted Talk.

Ich nutze das Headset mittlerweile schon länger und es ist weiterhin stabil und bequem. Der Klang ist gut, die Verbindung funktioniert zuverlässig und auch der Akku hält ordentlich.Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt ist der flexible Mikrofonarm: Wenn ich ihn in eine bestimmte Position biege, bleibt er dort oft nicht richtig und bewegt sich wieder etwas zurück in die Ausgangsposition. Das ist etwas nervig, beeinträchtigt die Nutzung aber nicht stark. Insgesamt bin ich trotzdem sehr zufrieden.

After using this beautiful piece of gadget for more than 6 months by now, I decided to write a review about this.I'm spending a premium what am I expecting?An amazing unboxing experience, amazing quality of packaging and an amazing headphones!Not really a fan of the Razer software as you need to pay to enjoy the rich audio settings, that's a bummer! But apart from that you receive an amazing quality of audio which is fully adjustable through software, The battery of this headphones last for more than 6-8 hours of continued useage! Takes around a hour or so to fully charge and delivers a very wide range of connectivity!Do not expect much from the included mic as it only serves it's purpose of being a mic which sounds like your average earphone mic, The headphones foam provide a comfortable rest over your ears and blocks almost 60% of noise.Overall this is a perfect headphones for the price you are paying, vouch! 😁
