It’s ok...
Seems ok. I was hoping it would be brighter, more like an LED, but I guess it’ll serve its purpose.

Rugged and reliable
9/27/2013 UPDATE - This flashlight is no longer the standard. The technology has changed to LED. The one to get now, and I already own one for my personal gear, is the Streamlight LED. Much brighter and lighter. We have since outfitted all our rigs with the Streamlights. Big Ed does have a LED version but I don't like the shape so I haven't tried it.OLD REVIEW - Where we come from this is the standard for firefighters flashlights. It is extremely bright which is what you need when entering a smoke filled structure. We have these on all our rigs. I purchased this one to keep attached to my turnout gear so I always have it with me. It is very rugged and extremely bright. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. I have not had any need to test that warranty so far. From what I have seen of the units on our rigs they take quite a beating and work just fine. They are a bit heavy with the 4 c cell batteries but compared to turnout gear and an SCBA I really don't notice it.

Flash Light
Expectations for this light were high but was disappointed due to use of the old bulb. No LED upgrade available. Light was very dim compared to my LED small flashlight. Do not recommend for use on the fire ground. unless upgraded.

Great product for firefighters! Relatively last a long time. Light beam is stronger than other flashlights I've tried.

Durable and bright
This is a great flashlight, really tough. The ring on the back lets you clip it to your bunker gear. The off/on button is really easy to hit even wearing structure gloves. The only reason I don't still use it on the job is because I use different bunker gear now and don't have the set up on the front of my gear.
