Works well!
I have been interested in getting a knitting machine for a while now and heard a lot of positive things about the sentro one. Assembly was easy, getting the suction cups on at the bottom was the hardest part and I just pushed them in with my screwdriver. I watched a quick YouTube video on how to thread and start your projects and once that happened I had no issue! I’ve used it in tube mode and panel mode. Tube mode is the easiest and I recommend you just make a tube to start with spare yarn to get the hang of it. I did not use the yarn provided in the kit but I did use a thinner one than provided and it turned out great. It can get confusing if a stitch becomes dropped, mostly in panel mode. But I found if I create a ledge with tape where I want my yarn to stop, and wrap an elastic band around the peg I need to stop on, it greatly helped with accidentally missing that last row in panel mode. I used the Caron latte cakes yarn and not even a full cake created a sweater! I made a tube for the body of the sweater, two long panels individually sewn shut for the sleeves. And two thin panels to create a square neckline to connect the sleeves and body!

Surprisingly good for price.
I read the reviews before buying and was worried it may be a bad product. I’ve made quite a few things with it. I stick with the recommended yarn size (3 for best results, 4 worsted base been fine for me no issues) The trick is to learn the cast on and cast off (using waste yarn is the best method). There are plenty of YouTube videos on methods. Go slowly the first couple of rows as that is when it sticks a little bit and the higher danger of stitch slipping. Will definitely be getting the other sizes of sentro machines. This is not just for hats and scarves. I’ve made sweaters, pj pants, slippers, bags, and a couple hats. It’s really up to your imagination same as hand knitting or crocheting. Does come with yarn, yarn needles (3 sizes) and a small crochet hook.

I got a broken product from the wrong brand
The information in this listing has not been entirely accurate. Also, I noticed immediately the day following my purchase this listing disappeared from amazon. Now it's back up with a higher price. The machine I ordered was supposed to be a sentro machine with 48 pins and a row counter. Instead I received a 48 pin 'santro' machine that has what is supposed to be a row counter but does not work at all. The sentro machine is already the cheap off brand version of the addi machine, so I am very disappointed to have recieved the off brand version of the off brand version item I was attempting to purchase. But despite not receiving the correct brand, let's talk about my actual review of the machine. This knitting machine I bought as a stand in, until I can afford an addi king size knitting machine. I am experienced in working with yarn; knitting, crocheting, weaving, loom knitting, etc. I've done it all. I watched a lot of YouTube videos on the sentro before making this purchase so I knew exactly what I should expect from the machine, and despite not actually being a sentro the machine I received works almost exactly the same. Let's start with the cons: -My row counter doesnt work. At all. Extremely frustrating. I can't make things exactly uniform and instead have to measure my pieces with my tape measure, which means pieces vary by a few rows. -Turning the machine manually begins to hurt your hand after a while, but this machine is definitely not good enough to handle one of those drill attachments that will turn it for you, so you just have to deal with the hand pain or take excessive amounts of breaks. (I am 21 and I dont have arthritis, this thing is just uncomfortable.) - You have to have this secured or suction cupped onto a flat surface. It will drop stitches like crazy if it's at even a slight angle or a tiny bit wobbly. Pros: -I can actually use it to make hats relatively quickly, I've made about 10 hats and 3 scarves on it Some additional things to note: - This machine is extremely picky about the yarn it will work with. I personally have found Caron Simply Soft and Hobby Lobby I Love This Yarn to work best. I am going to try Lion Brand Mandala Baby soon. - Don't buy this machine if you have no experience with yarn crafts. It will be a huge pain in the behind to figure out everything from scratch on a machine that barely works. - If you do want to buy a Sentro definitely do not buy one from this listing, because you might get a broken Santro instead.

I tried to like it, too fustrating
I got this because I saw it on YouTube and never heard of it before. I crochet and have never knitted but wanted to try to learn so I could make me some sweaters. First day I got it, it worked to make 5 inch tube, it came with 4 little skeins, so I was just learning to use it. Well after the first little tube I made the thing got stuck, I couldn't make a full turn either way. So I used the screwdrive it came with and had to open it up to see what was getting stuck. I didn't find the place it got stuck, so I just put it back together and it worked again. But I tried and tried to make a panel but the panel mode didn't work, I don't even know why the button was there cause it just turned and never stopped when it should have. But the constant stitches dropping and wasting so much yarn trying to make a perfect panel, I gave up. This isn't for me, it just made me super mad and frustrated so I had to return.

Perfect!!!
This has been great!!! Written instructions were a lil hard for me to fully understand as i am a visual learner, but just watched a youtube video, and since then ive made scarves, cowls, leg warmers, beanies and even working on a pair of pants. I Suggest attaching to a base for stability. I just attached with screws to a slightly heavy wooden cutting board and i dont really even have to hold in place/stabilize by hand. Works best with thinner yarns as thicker yarns can slip a stitch quite often if spinning quickly. Definetly worth it! Im now wanting to buy the 22 hook one next!

I waited a while to review it as I wanted to make sure it lasts and to get used to using it. I has some edges on the teeth when I first got it that would catch the yarn sometimes but they were easily removed with rubbing paper or a small file; after that it has been very reliable. 4mm and below it's great and very rarely drops a stitch. When doing panels rather than circular, you can't really use more than 44 stitches or it lifts the opposite end and makes a mess but I was able to make a loose jumper from four panels with a 110cm chest. With practice I was able to tapper in both out and in or remount pieces to join them. Taplpering out is much easier. Circular knitting is definitely what it is best at and a hat or scarft are a twenty minute job (I put a 100g ball into the one pictured in that time). The only downside to it was exactly what other have said, the counter is useless. Don't even try to use it. I count every ten rows and just mark it on a board. It would probably be worth mounting this on a table with screws as the suction feet are "okay" but not ideal. I'll be getting another when it dies, as it has already paid for itself this winter.

This is a great little machine for the price - easy to operate and to knit with in quick time. I received it at 13:00 hrs and by 15:00 hrs I had made an headband in double layer. Found a lot of free patterns on line also. The only slight negative is the suction cup feet which don't want to stick to anything, however, just a hand on the machine keeps it steady enough to work, and I will find better suction feet and replace the ones that it came with. The added wool was nice also, although it's thick for this machine. The Sentro 48 works best with fine or sport (DK) weight wool. Recommend as a fun and easy crafting tool

Absolutely terrible, does not knit panels , no matter what you do it doesn't sit properly and keeps slipping and the turn wheel gets stuck. Wool keeps slipping off the needles , even the wool that's supplied ,
