Impressed with the quality and detail
It seems like a really well made shoe. Design is nice, not exactly lightweight, but for a cycle shoe its just fine and the sole is super stiff. The clamp closing mechanism makes it easy to adjust the shoe when its on, and easy to get out of as well. And it looks pretty neat. It seems well build, but complexity always adds a risk of failure), but luckily you get a manual which tells you how to replace it backed with the year warranty. It doesn't look too hard, nor too expensive. I went into a couple of cycle shops to try on other brand name styles but it doesn't even come close to this one, and they were about $100 dollars more! North wave has a winner here. I love the white color the best!My only gripe is that the sizing of the shoe is so weird. My converse and timberland's are 45 and these North waves are 44.5 : O and they are still a little tight, But after the 2nd time worn they have molded to my foot perfectly. Nothing uncomfortable, but next time I might go a 1/2 size up so I will be able to wear it with thicker socks as well. One size up from your normal shoes is a minimum if your purchase is online. I feel my self lucky that my pair fits. If you get a chance, try them out first, because its not easy to judge. Based on my research, North Wave has the most wide selection of patterns/colors to choose from out of all the brand names on the market...and the stitching is so update/retro! I will give this a 10 out of 10!!! Very Satisfied Customer, Jamie

Good shoe
This shoe is stiff enough for a solid power transfer to the pedal, but still comfortable enough to walk around in. The venting is really nice. The closure buckle works well and is very adjustable. Would have given it 5 stars, except that in the size 37 the rubber on the upper buckle strap interferes with the middle velcro strap. This was not the case in size 38 and larger, I think the 37 is just much smaller than the shoe was designed for.

Great shoe, and attractive to boot!
I love this little shoe. They even make it in my size, which is almost unheard of for me, with a size 6 ½ in men's, which is a huge plus. I will say, you have to take a moment to make certain you have it on perfectly, before riding, though. If you get the tongue of the shoe in the wrong spot, it will make for a very uncomfortable ride.Once you have them on properly, though, they are very comfortable, both to walk in, and to ride in. I will say that there are stiffer soled cycling shoes out there, that you can handle those narrow little pedals better with, but these have more than enough stiffness for my Shimano M520 pedals. Adjusting them to fit the pedal is about as easy as any SPD style shoe, as well, which is to say you'll be set in a few minutes tops, if you've used SPD pedals before! They are quite pretty, too, at least to me, and I'm not a fan of bright neon colors. I know, I'd make a horrible road biker, but I just hate being gaudy and conspicuous.Four out of five, because there are stiffer shoes, and it can take some finagling to get comfortable in.

Good fit for my wide feet
I had read online that Northwave shoes are typically a bit wider than other brands, which is why I selected this shoe. I normally wear an 11.5 EE shoe in US. I ordered the size 47 shoe and the width is perfect for me. It's a tad long, but only by about 1/2", so its no big deal. The sole is very rigid, which is good.I haven't actually got to ride with them yet because I'm still waiting on my pedals to show up. Will update after I ride with them.Edit: I've ridden several days with these shoes now and they are quite comfortable. I don't experience any sore spots on my feet. I'm using them with Crank Brothers Candy 2 pedals, which are difficult to snap into, but easy to get out of. I think that's related to the pedal and cleat, though, not this shoe.

Shoes are great
Excellent shoe, light weight, fits like a glove. I am a female and the fit is good despite being male shoes. Only down fall are the spikes for cyclocross you'll have to get another set for the run ups

Good Entry Level Shoes
The shoes fit true to size. They don't seem to stretch too much. Well made and not as heavy as I expected. Recommended.
