Little flimsy
Was very cheaply made but made work

partially useful for my vehicle
used this in a 96 Ford Ranger. The frame was useless because of the tight fit of a standard double DIN radio into the vehicle radio bezel. I used the two side pieces; they were what I needed to center the aftermarket radio but I had to shave a lip of plastic from each piece with my dremel tool. These are not designed for the new style of radios that don't have disc players and are lightweight and shallow (aftermarket radio with a screen and some electronics that is only a few inches deep). There was no way to use the screws on the side of the aftermarket radio, but the fit was so tight that is seems to be holding without them.

Plastic easily breaks
The faceplate bezel snapped as I gently removed it from the packaging. Double din method of cutting the divider is a horrible method and leaves scuff marks and is very hard to get flush with the edges if you don’t have sandpaper and some time on your hands. Fit would have been overall very good if it weren’t for the faceplate snapping with little to no pressure and maybe on option for a different faceplate for double dins specifically with no divider

Pretty much wasted my money on this
First of all this doesn't have very clear instructions and doesn't actually give correct placement for the bezel screws on the Ford Escape 2006. Additionally , when I placed the order Amazons page said it fits my car. But when the kit arrived, it has many different bags containing different items for the install, but the labels on each item had conflicting information as far as what year, make and model the item fit. Very confusing. The instructions say to remove the bezel and file it down, connect the mounting brackets then put everything back in the car. First of all there 2 screws they say are there are not, so I could not get the dash bezel out. I called the Scoche customer service for help.. waste of time. They emailed me a link to a YouTube video I had already watched. I am capable of searching YouTube myself and certainly didn't need their customer service to do it for me.Nevertheless, I filed down the bezel while it was in my car still. A very messy process that I would not recommend doing if you can avoid it. once I got the bezel to the correct dimensions, the fit is so snug I can get by with out the mounting brackets for a while. I went to put the plate that surround the unit, but it was would not even fit the stereo. Luckily there was one with the unit that I put in so it all worked out.I would not recommend this item for anyone with a 2006 Ford Escape. Very disappointed. I basically wasted my money on this. I wish the din removal tools were sold by themselves. I would have bought those and the wiring harness with out the rest of the junk.

Just what I needed
I bought this for a 2009 Ford Ranger and a Pioneer DDIN head.It is simply perfect. In order to use the DDIN head in the Ranger you will have to modify the shroud in your truck, but once you do this kit fits right in. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this kit actually "connects" the head to your shroud. You will have to completely remove the shroud from your truck to install this kit. Which, once I figured that out, I know it is the best way to fit a DDIN head in the Ranger. It gives the unit significant stabilization. The front piece is flimsy but, for me at least, not to a dissatisfying extent. It is only there for gap coverage anyway. If you've been wanting to put a DDIN or 2DIN or Double DIN receiver head in your Ranger - get this kit, a rotary grinder for plastic and you're good to go.

Fits dash, but doesn't fit after market stereos
Yes, the shape of their trim fits the dash opening, but in reality it isn't usable. They are assuming every aftermarket stereo has the same exact size and fits the double din opening in the plastic trim exactly. I tried two different aftermarket stereos and neither fit in their dash trim. Really, you're best off just getting some decent rubber gasket material to fill in the gap around your aftermarket stereo.
