My mother-in-law has arthritis and she used to use plyers to open soda bottles and other types of jars were a bigger struggle. Being reluctant to change these, they sat in her kitchen drawer for a while after I gave them to her as a gift. Finally, she pulled them out of the drawer one day and has used them ever since. They make it much easier to open things. She still has challenged on bad days but most of the time they do the trick. I had hand surgery not long ago and they were a lifesaver to me too. Sturdy, easy to use, and they work. I'd buy them again without hesitation.

The 2 items are one of the best purchases we have made. It is needed because we are older and don't have the strength like we used to. Plus cans with tabs are hard to open. Sometimes the tab pulls right off or we have to use a knife to pull the tab off a can of tuna or soup. This also opens bottles with caps. The other item helps us to open jars. We are pleased with the products.

Easy to use, good "grip" on lids, gives the leverage needed to quickly help snap open lids. But a downside is the largest grip area does NOT fit the larger lids on typical food products....like a big pickle jar lid.

Bought this to make life a little easier after an upcoming surgery. I tried them out and now am wondering why I waited so long to buy something so simple and effective.

These 2 devices are the coolest kitchen gadgets ever! The jar opener really helps open lids much easier. I wish there was one more bigger grip for jars a little bit larger. The other tool is really cool! It can open a bottle of soda that's hard to get open. It can help pop the pull tab up on cans via the thin end, and then on pull tabs with a finger hole, like on soup cans, you can hook this tool in that hole and roll the top right off the can of soup. Such a hand saver if you have weak or painful hands! I use mine all the time and have bought them as gifts for others that need help opening things in the kitchen.

The jar opener works very well. I used it to get the stuck-on lid off of a jar of honey. It was easier than my bare hand but still required a bit of force. May have been the honey though (that stuff sticks like concrete) so I'll edit after I've opened more jars.I had hoped the little opener would help with the pop-top cans. I'm on blood thinners & sometimes they bruise my finger. The slotted side is too thick to get under the tab so you still need to get it started but, once its up, the "pull" side works good. It did a fantastic job pulling out the plastic tab on a carton of cream this morning.I'm middle of the road with the set. They work good enough for young to middle aged people but, right now, I think that too much brute strength is necessary to recommend it for the elderly.

I've bought a few different versions of jar openers including one for my mother in law as a gift. It doesn't work well or easily. Now that I've found this one for myself and love it I'm considering getting her this one instead. Really like it!

I bought this for my Mom. She is starting to have a hard time opening bottles, cans, and other items that have a screw top. I was really optimistic that this would work, as I have tried a few different products. This was definitely not a let down. This product is easy to use and works with so many different lids. I'm going to order more; not only for her, but myself as well. I highly recommend this product.
