Excellent wax!!!
Excellent wax. It has a lovely, natural hold and it is not sticky. It is a good size of 2oz, bigger than all the competitors. It lasts the perfect amount of time!!!Highly recommend!!!!

Wax
Could hold stronger and be in a cooler tin but it works.

Smells nothing like citrus, it's clove
Smells nothing like citrus. It reeks of clove, and could best be described as a Bay Rum scent. Better then their pine sap version.

Extra Firm Mustache Wax is the BOMB!
WOW! This mustache wax is amazing! So easy to use and the holding power is phenomenal. I've tried other brands and areas of my mustache would separate and look all wonky. The Mountaneer Brand Extra Firm Hold Mustache Wax worked into my mustache very smoothly and the shape held all day. If I needed to touch up the shape at all, the wax left my mustache pliable enough to comb through and yet it still maintained the holding power. Firm but not sticky. Matte finish that leaves a more natural look. I would definitely purchase this mustache wax again.

Original Hold: Ease of Use and Not Tacky
Lately I have been trying a lot of mustache waxes; trying to find one holding my mustache while allowing it to retain a natural look (i.e. not a glued look). My mustache is one of those where one side bends up and the other curves under. No matter how much you try, once up the left goes back and the front forward. I have started using a heat gun (or hairdryer) while holding the mustache to lock it in place. With this wax, this method works well. The wax is easy to use feeling a lot like the more synthetic waxes that come out of the container with no heating required. It is beeswax with a lot of oils, and no lanolin. Surprisingly, even with other waxes, I have found applying oil first softens the hairs making my mustache more manageable (in particularly, because it is hard to get the wax to the base of the hairs). So, I have found this wax to have a good hold despite being soft to apply.I am allergic to anything with "perfume", or "fragrance" in the ingredients. This uses only essential oils and smells nice.Summary:My mustache is as wide as my face when curled. The wax is easy to use, and holds. The wax is non-allergenic. It also leaves the mustache more natural, or "fluffy" while giving full control of shape. Lastly, this would be perfect for a mustache above a beard where you want shape, but consistent texture and look.

Best wax I have found.
I have been using the original hold and scent (white/tan) for about 3 years now. Hold and scent is awesome.I reordered in November 23 and and got the original but it was a different color - Orange. I contacted Mountaineer and asked if I got the right product and they confirmed I did and that it was a new formula they are trying out. They sent me a can of the original (white/tan) free as I was complaining that the hold was not as good as the white. Great customer service! To be honest I really prefer the new (orange) formula more after using for a few weeks. Here's the deal-The original white is great. It holds strong all day. Helped me train my mustache. Works great on a bad hair day to get a grip on the strays. The new original orange doesn't feel like a wax. It doesn't bead or pill up little wax balls. Much easier to reform your mustache later in the day than the white. Mustache feels and looks more full and loose rather than tight and hard with the white. After an hour it feels more dry.If your starting a new or training a mustache I recommend the white. If you have a trained and established mustache I recommend the orange.I hope Mountaineer puts both of these products on here for sale because I want access to both. In the meantime maybe you can request white or orange through the special instructions box when ordering.

No idea how people are using this?
It's basically unuseable. Maybe if someone scrapes a tiny bit with their fingernail and applies it to the end of a twirled mustache it might work. I had to use the end of the comb with force, to shave off a slice and then place that into the lid and apply high heat from the hairdryer and it still barely softened.Applying it to my mustache was a whole different problem and I'd probably get the same experience melting candle wax and working it in, instead. I'm not sure if its meant to be this hard to use as compared to the brands that have trouble holding the hairs in place but its certainly not a go to for me. Which means putting up with the locally purchased brand instead since it kind of works. Two different extremes. It would be nice if somebody made something in between that held throughout the day but wasn't still like cold candle wax after trying to work with it.I'd send it back, but it might just get sold again as an open product.
