This is a must have for Open Heart surgery
I highly recommend this if you have Open heart surgery! It is just an added security in the shower or bath. It is stable, well made, solid chair. I love the handle on the top of the seat to move around. It isn't top heavy where if you lean on the back it isn't going to tip. Holes in the seat make it nice that water doesn't puddle around you while you shower. Very easy to assemble and very nice in the shower.

Light weight and sturdy
I wanted a seat in my shower to make it easier to shave legs, scrub feet and so on without taking the chance of falling. I got this seat and it's working out great. It's the perfect size and it's easy to put together. You can put the back on but I left it off so it's just a stool. Because it's so light it's easy to move in and out of the shower to clean the tub. I will eventually get my shower updated but until then it's nice to have a bench in the shower. I would recommend this bench.

No longer comes as one piece
This is a great little shower chair. I bought one a few years ago and wanted to get another. I went back into my Amazon orders and reordered. But this time it came in pieces and I found it oddly awkward to put together. Usually I'm happy to put things together, but with this you have to have the pieces at such odd angles...Tell me if I'm wrong! And I'm not sure I like the sticky-outy screw heads. Also, be sure to keep tightening and retightening all screws after you put it together. BUT --eventually it felt solid -- and it is just what she wanted. So: almost perfect. But there were some moments......!

Great Chair/Fantastic Shipping/Use Common Sense
Great Chair, very safe if used correctly, easy assembly and can YouTube if the directions aren’t clear. BTW, there are metal washers that are not in the manual but included. They cup the poles on the outside between screws and poles. Shipping was phenomenal. Original shipping date said 10 days from purchase and it came the very next day. Just a note after reading some of the reviews: just because the weight limit is 400lbs, it DOES NOT mean you SHOULD put it on the tallest 8 setting if you are close to 400lbs. Chair works great if you balance the weight with the extension number. Heavier weight, lower/shorter number, if you are lighter weight, pick any number. It will support you if put together correctly and screws are tight, but will not feel sturdy if on higher peg number/taller setting (7or 8) if over close to or over 300lbs. If you are looking for a 20.5 inch tall chair and close to or over 300lbs, this is not the shower chair for you.

Function versus image
I purchased this chair in 6/2024. I weigh about 200 lbs. There was no problem with the size and fit of the chair and it was very easy to assemble and worked as a chair should. About 6 months ago I noticed that the chair was weaker on the left side. There was a very slight deformity of the legs on the left side in that they were closer together than the legs on the right side. I felt the weakness when I would sit on the chair in the shower and felt that I needed to sit very gently or the chair would tumble. So after a few months of gentle use the chair tumbled. Luckily I was anticipating such a thing and when I fell it was like in slow motion. Fortunately my husband was home and helped me through it all but I think that the chair should have lasted more then 18 months. Thus, I am forced to give a one star review. My left hip landed on the ridge on the shower stall but like I said I was kind of anticipating such an event and went down in slow motion. I would definitely change the weight limit to two hundred pounds and I don't care how sturdy the chair looks it's the function that's important and unfortunately this was very very poor. Why fall when you don't have to?
Personally, I really needed something to help me while recovering from surgery. A shower can be a scary thing if your balance is off. You certainly don't need to fall mid-shower! I was so pleased that this chair took almost no effort to assemble. It's not a puzzle! With only a few parts, you'll have it ready to go within a few minutes. Another nice feature is the price. It's not expensive, especially considering how useful it is. Also, you won't feel like you're losing much when it's time to dispose of it. I gave mine to a thrift shop that sells items to help stock a local food pantry. I'm sure that someone put it to good use once I was done with it. I recently bought a smaller house since becoming a widower. I just don't have the room to store something like this. It appears that I'll be getting another one now that I need a new hip. Hey, how could I anticipate THAT? I don't mind buying it again. As I said, it's not expensive, especially considering the problems it can save you from.

Superb quality
Great chair but be careful for loose parts. See the picture attached. It does appear that the screws and other small parts may have started out in a small plastic bag, but alas, they broke through. It is a very good thing the box was taped up really well or I fear, critical parts would have been lost. Outside of that, the assembly was fast and easy and the chair is just what my son needs for showering after his medical regime each time. For the price and quality, it is a great chair, and if it was not for the loose parts would have given it five stars. It also truly does feel sturdy with a larger male sitting on it. Easy to life in and out of the bathtub or shower if you share a common washroom with others.
