Enchanting!
I have granddaughters ranging from age 8 to 4 and this book fills the ticket for hand knits with Princess appeal. Many of the little sweaters are full of texture, adding to their appeal. While there are a few patterns suitable for beginning knitters, this book seems more aimed at intermediate to experienced knitters. Don't let that scare you though. If you can knit, purl, yarn over, increase and decrease and make cables, you will find something here to dress your little doll child in.Good selection, the patterns are as follows:Sweaters:Butterfly sweater - stockinette and big puffy sleeves.Aran and Bobble sweater - Very niceHigh Neck Sweater with Ribbon - very pretty funnel neck sweater.Aran sweater with ribbon - A-line sweater with back neck ribbon.Round-neck Textured Sweater - My personal favorite.Cardigans:Fan Stitch Jacket- Not sure I like a ribbon tie but can easily be altered to take a button and loop.Elf Cardigan with fabric - Skip the added fabric and this is a really cute bolero length jacket.Frost Flower Cardigan- Pretty lace design.Grandpa Cardigan - Tunic length cardigan that is adorable!Cardigan with Lace Edges - Another personal favorite.Rosita Warm-wrap Cardigan - Front cover- Another favorite of mine.Dresses and Tops:Garter Stitch vest - Simple vest with with center pleat at back for interest. Very cute, short vest.Warm Loopy Vest - I think the kids will delight in the bulky, loopy look.Bertha Shoulder Wrap - A must have for any Princess.Isabel and Cable Little Branch Dress - Very classic, very pretty.Mohair Lace Dress - Very etherial for the little girly girl.Layered Leaf Skirt - OK, so this one did nothing for me. Would have preferred to see this made as a dress.Raspberry Mini skirt - Low waisted textured skirt. Looks very grown up.Big Wool Wrap or Mini Skirt - Love it as a skirt, not too wild about it as a cowl.Garter Stitch Scarf and Hat with eyelets - This would be something any girl, including us big girls would like.Mohair Scarf with Bobbles - Pretty but looks more like a little shawl. Rather bulky for a scarf. They use a lot of brand named yarns so if you want to substitute be sure to look up the yarn and note in your bookwhat weight or category it falls in. In ten years when you want to make something again out of this book, that willhelp you choose a suitable yarn when the ones named are discontinued.A lot of eyecandy here and these patterns will have both mom's, grandma's and our little darlin's drooling.

Inspired!
Not one to really write reviews, I found some of the reviews on this book a little harsh in regards to the style of the garments. Since this book is one you can preview online, you know the styles you are getting before you purchase the book. As for little girls not wanting to wear these items, I find that an absurd generalization. If your little girl wouldn't want to wear one of the mini skirts or dresses in this book, she's probably not a girly-girl or one that would wear ANYTHING knitted. If you like the styles you see in the few items you are allowed to see online, you will be very pleased with the book as there are some very cute items which are not shown online. As a beginner knitter and momma of a 4 month old, I am very inspired by this book. I'm glad the author included a few projects that a beginner could easily accomplish, and I have even tried a few of the pattern stitches on the advanced pieces and found that they were easy to read and stitch (with help learning the stitches on the internet, I have only knitted basic beanie hats prior to this). I came online to actually see if Vibe has authored any books on adult pieces, as I want to wear some of these items! If you read this Vibe, please write for adults (and infants too)! The book is lovely to look through and lays open well, and the little girls look happy in their outfits.

I'd knit every sweater
After years of no children in the family I now get to knit for 4 little girls and this book is so precious: great styling and details. I'm knitting each one - and starting now, even if they are only 12-18 months. these sweaters start at 3 years which is just absolutely perfect.

Lovely Knits for LIttle Girls
This book has wonderful, up-to-the-minute patterns for girls. I appreciate the fact that it is just that: for little girls. It's hard to find patterns for children beyond the toddler stage; this book offers patterns for my six-year old up to, i believe, size 10. The patterns are well-written with ample explanation. The styles are not the usual mix of "little miss" designs. They are creative, new looks that one might find in a book for adults.

Lovely patterns!
I have spent quite a bit of time looking through this book and trying to decide which will be the first I make. I have not yet actually cast on, but there are several items which will eventually be created. I have 2 grand daughters, and look forward to seeing them in some of these very cute designs.

Pages Don't Open
The pages of this book were not separated but joined in multiples of 4. This tells me that the guillotining of the paper was poorly done. As you would expect the book was printed and bound in China demonstrating the the Chinese still struggle to do things correctly. Shame on The Taunton Press and Amazon' neither of whom have sufficient quality control in place to catch such a simple mistake. Needless to say I can't comment on the content as I cannot open the book to review. It is a disgrace that this sort of error was missed by three companies. Sadly it is impossible to contact Amazon because they hide behind their website.

some lovely and unusual patterns
I really wanted to knit the cover photo cardigan for my Granddaughter. Would be better if some of the patterns were in larger sizes. It is looking beautiful so far and appears easy to adjust to come up in a larger size.

beautiful patterns but not schematics
I took this book out from the library and love the patterns. I have knit one sweater and plan to knit another piece soon. Beautiful design but no schematics which is frustrating for those who want to block the pieces. Yes I knit swatches til I had the gauge but I do relie upon the the schematics as well for reference.

Beautiful patterns and a little more modern in style
Beautiful patterns and a little more modern in style, which is great. I would not recommend for a novice knitter as some skill is needed - but well worth taking the trouble.
