Great bowl for oatmeal. . . .
I got this bowl the other day but since I eat oatmeal about 3 or 4 times a week, today was the first time I used it. Great bowl. I used it in my microwave to cook my morning oatmeal and it did a great job. Great size for my morning oatmeal since I normally cook 2 packets of instant oatmeal at a time. Then I add butter and fruit after the oatmeal is cooked. Stir it together and I'm normally set until dinner since breakfast is a late morning meal for me and I only eat 2 meals a day. I need to wash it still but it looks like a quick hand washing will do the job. My only complaint is that I can't use three fingers in the cup handle to pick it up. Most of my coffee mugs allow me to use 3 fingers in the handle but if this oatmeal cup works as well as I expect then it's a 5 star product that I highly recommend.

Works great when you adjust recipes and cook times accordingly
I've had this bowl for nearly three years and use it everyday. It is important that the user understands the need to adjust recipes and cook times based on their microwave oven wattage and preferences but it works great. For example, when I cook my oatmeal, I use full power for 140 seconds however I cook in two phases to avoid the possibility of boilover which some people have experienced. I will cook it in the microwave for 110 seconds while I make the cats their breakfast, then stir it and cook the final 30 seconds. There is some discoloration in the bottom that just won't come clean but that's probably my fault for not cleaning it immediately after use as I take the finished product to work with me some mornings and eat while in transit.I'm doing this review because I'm back looking at some of their other products for purchase.

Tips so this (or any) bowl won't explode in microwave
First, I REALLY want to buy several more of these, but no longer available? All they have a larger containers, and this truly is great for oatmeal, heating rice and beans, veggies, etc.Next, never ever never pay attention to directions when it comes to microwaves.Next, don't use a lot of water!!! Just enough to get it going. Then add more water later. Read on ...Do not set it for 3 or 4 minutes! Oatmeal takes time to absorb the water. Too quickly and yes, it explodes all over your microwave.Simply set it for a minute! Then add water, cook more, stir, let it sit and absorb more water and finish cooking, depending upon YOUR tastes. If you add frozen fruit, depending how long the fruit takes to warm up, add at start or when adding more water after first one minute heating.REMOVE the little tab for the vent when cleaning! Yes, impossible to clean with it in place. Carefully pop it off, wash, dry, then pop back on. If it explodes and makes a mess cos you followed their directions and not my tips.I buy oats from Amazon. By following the above directions, oatmeal cooks fine in 2 minutes in MY microwave.AND the first product I tried was their tall, narrow bowl. THAT was problematic cos it doesn't appear to heat as evenly for cooking oatmeal as this much wider bowl. The others are too big! I bought to cook potatoes and other larger veggies. Those work fine.PLEASE offer this again! I want several cos this truly is my fave piece of kitchen gear!

Allllmost perfect ….
I ordered two for teacher lunches.Pros: BEAUTIFUL colors. Doesn’t discolor or disfigure in the microwave or dishwasher, even with tomato sauce. Great size for generous helpings and even warming (which is why I chose these over the soup mugs). Sturdy locks and vent cover.Cons: not absolutely leakproof. They tipped slightly in my teacher bag when I set it down for about three minutes, and I came back to find my chili was seeping out into my bag. Definitely shouldn’t use for a thinner soup unless you plan for cleanup. For the price per unit, I really expected a closer seal than that!!

It's the little things.
I'm in a wheelchair and the house I'm living in right now has a microwave built into the wall. It is above my head and this bowl is a lifesaver. Its light weight and handle allow me to get it in and out of the microwave, and the locking cover and vent prevent what's inside from spilling in the microwave let alone on my head. I have a cup from this line as well.
