Great Case, But...
This really is a great case, but it's not perfect. My Pro 4 fits great in this case and it even does a great job with the kick stand. It's now even easier to pull the kick stand out. Combined with the keyboard my Pro is completely protected. The part that leaves little to be desired has to do with the pen. It comes with a string attachment to hold your pen. This thing is so annoying. The string is supper thin and black, so it can be hard to see. When I tried to put my Pro in to my Messenger bag the string got zipped up in the zipper. Later it got tangled in the pull tab of the zipper just from taking it out of the Messenger bag and that was just the beginning. I took it off after one full day of use. I had enough of that mess. The built in clip area for the pin in not so great either. It does not hold the pin with any real grip. If you try to leave your pin clipped in and put it in a back pack or Messenger bag, or even walk around with it, think again. That pin will fall off with any light touch. I guess that's why they gave you the string attachment. The magnetic part of the Pro that was designed to hold the pen is covered by the case and is useless when it comes to the pen. I thought maybe if the sting was just a bit thicker it would not be so bad, but that won't work, if you put any string bigger than what is installed, your Pro won't fit in the case. So just be prepared to hold on and track your pen yourself with this case. Unless you can handle the annoying string. But other wise this is a great case for what it was truly designed for, protecting your Surface Pro 4.

This case is awesome. The fit and finish are on point and it feels very good in the hand. It has a very slight thin lip that goes around the screen that offers a little added protection should you have a little accident. The rubberized corners are not obtrusive, all the cutouts line up, the pen holder has good strength to where if you put your pro4 in a backpack like me the pen doesn't detach. And I absolutely love the way the case attaches to the kickstand, that little attention to detail is the icing on the cake.If I had to pick something to gripe about I would say the implementation of the pen attachment string, I tried using but ended up taking it off because it more got in the way then it was useful. I would also say to put a little more slant on the accessory cutouts i.e. power, volume, charger etc... so that it has a more ergonomic feel when using your finger to press those buttons or it makes room for the charging wire. As it stands you do have to kind of double check to make sure the charging light turns on when you connect the charger. Again these are very minor gripes.Lastly, I would like to make a request of the engineering team. 1) I Would love to see one with a small battery molded to the kickstand that would extend the life of my unit by another hr and a half to 2 hrs, again small and ergonomic nothing big that would add a lot of weight. 2) You gotta add another color or 2 perhaps a blue and red one.As for now I am loving this case.

A Very Good Case If You Care About Heat and Protection
This case works perfectly for my needs, I feel that my surface pro 4 is protected while retaining its slim form factor plus all accessible ports. I am very pleased with this purchase. I tried many other cases, but it took me a while to find a case that would adequately protect the surface pro 4. Most other cases are either to flimsy to offer protection or to bulky keep the sleek, slim aesthetic of the surface pro 4. This case fits right in the middle, thick enough to be of help but not obtrusive.Another aspect I considered during my search for cases, was the effect of a case trapping dissipated air from the surface pro 4. If this were to happen the surface pro would run to hot (it's already common for the surface pro to heat up way to quickly and throttle the cpu), and I did not want a case that contributed to this issue. I am glad to say that this case does not cause the surface pro 4 to heat prematurely. That is not to say that the surface pro 4 will not heat up, because it will. The surface pro 4 will heat up as it normally does, the fans will kick in with or without this case. This case simply does not make the Surface Pro 4's heating issue worse than it currently is.*Note: If you are like me and you want to protect both the front and back of your surface pro 4, definitely buy a keyboard (I Recommend Zagg or Microsoft). It will fit perfectly with the design of this case and protect your expensive investment.

They changed the stylus holder design but there is a big trade off.
I bought one of these over a year ago for my daughter in college, although it still works, after 6-8 hours of use a day, it was looking a little ragged. So I ordered her another one. There are a few comments here about the old one not having vent holes for the CPU fan, but I did not have any major issues with it. To accommodate those complaints, the company changed the design. The old design had a very sturdy pen holder on the side of the cover, which is still shown in all of the Amazon sales images. The new design replaces the pen holder with a very small, flat slide that holds THE CLIP of your stylus pen. So...instead of holding your pen securely in a pocket, this is like you are clipping the pen to the outside of the case. Not only is this not as effective at holding the pen, but if something breaks, it will be the clip on your stylus, not the case. So at some point, just say goodbye to your $50 stylus because of a flaw in this $40 case. They provide a string you are supposed to tie to your stylus, but, unlike a bank teller pen, tethering a stylus to the case is both clumsy and detrimental to the work you are doing with it. Oh, and if you use a third party stylus, it probably won't fit because the slot is designed for the loop-clip of the Microsoft stylus. The old case was great, all they had to do was drill some additional holes for the vent. This new design? By correcting one issue, they have created another potentially worse one.

Gran funda
