For a small axe to keep on my person working in the field, should I buy this or the lighter, shorter Carpenter's Axe?

for a small axe out in the woods, i prefer this to the carpenter axe. the hammer head also comes in handy.

Not sure but it's awfully tough. With a die grinder you can recut the waffle face after a period of Of time
