Not obtrusively large for smaller Koi ponds
Quickly clears the surface. Easy to remove and empty the strainer. The 2" threaded fitting was ideal as my pipes are 2" as well. The skimmer shares water flow with a bottom strainer. The pump is operating at about 2,000 GPH, with a about a 60/40 split with the skimmer and bottom strainer. Pond is about 10 ft in diameter and holds about 1,000 gallons.

Just what I needed.
When it comes to in-pond skimmers, it’s slim pickings between small Chinese junk and the overpriced Oase. Enter this skimmer—an absolute game-changer! It does the job perfectly, though the instructions could use an update. They claimed it has 1.5” fittings, but surprise! The connection to the canister is actually 2”. Thankfully, I’m running this on a dedicated 3/4 hp pump and the flow is decent, though I’m tempted to go bigger with a 1 hp pump for that extra oomph.Now, why did I knock off a star? The manufacturer’s bright idea to slap barcode stickers on all 3 pieces of the skimmer, despite them arriving in the same box, was pure madness. These weren't just any stickers—no, these were cheap paper stickers with industrial-grade adhesive. Getting them off was a task worthy of Hercules. And they even put one on the basket! Who needs a sticker on the basket?!

I feel that although the product does work, it needs a bigger flow through a pipe bigger then 1.5 inches. But too restrictive and I think I lose a lot of possible flow.
