Great comfort throughout the day, cutting trees or splitting does well for support and grip walking

Bought for someone else, second pair. He loves these. I think expensive but he says they are worth it.

These are actually BETTER than red wings. Yes, they are. They are more comfortable and longer lasting. Those come from the quality leather.

Warmth? It's an unlined/uninsulated boot. Good breathable summer boot. Not as good as the custom fitted Redwing USA made 218's I used to wear but those are NLA. If you need an insulated boot, this isn't it, but not bad with a pair of wool socks or 2.

These are the only brand I will own.

This review will be redone once they ship the other pair of boots and hopefully with a better sewing! I also took several pictures also for them and others to see, bc it's NOT acceptable to spend $154.00 on a pair of boots, and the stitching has came out on them after wearing for a half of a day! Got them on Monday early evening, and he wore them for about 5 hours (yesterday) on Tuesday, and the stitching has started to come out of where the sole is stitched to the boot, and some of the rest of the stitching is very loose, and then it looks like on part of another section its double sewn. So what the heck? Why not do double or do triple stitch on all of the whole sole?? However they are very comfortable, and if we can get another pair that is sewn better then I will change my rating. They are supposed to be sending another pair & of course I will be returning these. He has never had any other Carolina boots do this before either.

First impression is great. True to size. Stong ankle support I was looking for. Good solid construction. So far so good.

When these say unlined they really mean Unfinished. The shoe looked like it wasn’t completed in the factory. No insole, no padding, no lining AT ALL. It was like raw leather inside with raw edges. I’m not sure why you would want that.
