Uranus (Planets in Our Solar System) [Foxe, Steve] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Uranus (Planets in Our Solar System) Review: Everybody should learn about Uranus! Could there be life on it! - Learn about Uranus! And its place in our solar system and what it’s made of? Review: Incorrect facts and inaccurate pictures in this book - The first red flag was a diagram of the solar system with the orbits shown as a line for each planet. There were also arrows along those lines, purporting to show that Uranus and Venus revolve/orbit around the sun in the opposite direction from the other planets. The text also states this. Both of these planets rotate in the opposite direction as the other planets do, but they do not orbit in the opposite direction. The section which tries to describe why Uranus is an Ice Giant is also incorrect. It is not currently mostly comprised of icy gas (the gas is, of course, extremely cold) which is the way the book describes it, and it states that it's actually mostly 'solid'. This was from a brief flip through. I also received the Venus book which appears a bit better as it's by another author, presumably one who actually understands some basics of the subject they're writing about rather than gathering information from other sources and rewriting it in their own words while changing the actual facts by mistake.
