De Ding Metal Half Rim Bifocal Reading Glasses

These are, by a long way, the best reading glasses I've bought. They come at the end of a long trail of shoddy items from CVS, Target and Readers.com. They are so good, that I now use them as my only glasses and I've been able to recycle the large collection of other readers which previously littered the house, car, garage etc. In fact, I had got to the stage where I had a pair of readers for every area of activity, so that I wouldn't find myself without. Plus backups because they kept breaking. These ones, I wear all the time.These De Ding bifocals are close to perfect. Light, comfortable and bombproof in construction, they seem like the perfect answer so far. Just be prepared for them to take a bit longer to arrive than most items on Amazon— they are shipped directly from the factory in China. However, they came much sooner than the estimated date, and they are well worth waiting for.

I love these glasses. Had cataract surgery and ended up with 20/20 in both eyes, but can't see squat up close. Bought a handful of readers at Dollar Tree and picked the one I was most comfortable with to order as bifocals. These De Dings are great and keeps me from wearing glasses on a granny cord around my neck - I wear these all the time and they look like my old glasses. Come with a nice zippered case for night storage and a polishing cloth. Very nice quality.

I recently purchased these bifocals and have been very pleased with them. The upper portion is veryclear for an undistorted view, however, the bottom portion was 2.0 reading lens for perfect reading.The division of the lens from reading (lower) to clear (upper) gave a natural view of reading anddistance vision. I recommend this product if you are looking for the convenience of wearing readingglasses for long periods of time and still see distance clearly without constantly removing the readers.

I also bought these after cataract surgery. I have readers that I use for close work, but wanted a pair that I could use normally for both near and far. But I still found myself looking over the glasses for far distances since the glasses give very slightly fuzzy views. Using the bifocal for close work is ok, but not as good as my single vision readers. My Foster Grant bifocal sunglasses are much better, just too dark for inside.It’s now been nearly a week since I first tried these glasses and I have come to the conclusion they are too fuzzy to wear at any distance. If I am going to look over the top of the lenses to see distance them why bother? And the fuzziness of the bifocal is not something I can get used to. What a disappointment to say the least.

Perfect following cataract surgery. I've worn bifocals for the last 67 years for extreme far-sightedness. Well, the new lenses corrected my distance to about normal but I still need help for reading. After so long in glasses, I'm not really comfortable with the breeze on my eyes or the dust that blows so I'm sticking with full time glasses wearing. Yes, Medicare will get me new glasses, but I have another month for my eyes to stabilize before I can even get them prescribed and then there,'s the wait for delivery. In the meantime these fill the gap. They're not perfect, both eyes really need slightly different prescriptions for reading but they're close enough that I don't have to withdraw from the world and when my new prescription glasses eventually show up, they'll make a good backup.

REVISED: There appears to be a crack on the right lenses and a scratch. I mentioned that there was no metal frame on bottom of lenses - appears this could result in cracks. If these glasses are not in use, I always store them in a custom leather case that I carry in a shirt pocket.Frames were only partial. Thought description and photo indicated full metal frame. The bifocal line location does NOT interfere while I read and watch TV.

I'm not thrilled with these glasses for a couple reasons. First, the metal in the frames is a little soft and bends rather easy. This is an issue because the hinges are tight and when I unfold the arms, the metal bends either at the outer edge of the lenses or at the bridge. Finally, these are a little heavier than my other glasses. They weigh in at 24 grams, while my other pairs are 19.5 to 20 grams. Maybe it's not a big deal to you, but that's 20% heavier. I won't be purchasing these again.

I really like my bifocal glasses. The bifocal is just under midline so that I do not have to tilt my head for distance vision; however, I do have to tilt my head slightly for close up computer work. These are much better than my previous pair of glasses because of the greater field of view that the larger bifocal area provides. I also like the half-rimmed glasses. Previously I purchased no line bifocals at a glasses store and had 19mm bridge width. These glasses were able to be adjusted to fit my bridge. I do wish that the bifocal went higher than midline since I do close up computer work more often than distance viewing at work; however, socially I think that tilting my head less to speak to colleagues that are more than 3 feet away is more acceptable. After 7 years of needing bifocals I am less vain about hiding it and more concerned about my field of view when working and reading.

Very happy with these glasses. They fit well. They look good. Not too big of a lense.

These were so easy to get used to wearing and the "reading" area is in the perfect place...easy on the eyes and very comfortable to wear.

It took awhile to get to Canada, but worked as expected. Thanks!
