It was hard to find a mail box that would fit an old door’s pre-drilled slot and the measurements were correctly labeled and it fit perfectly. The polished brass is good quality, the mailbox has a substantial weight and a strong spring closure, and it looks great.

It’s a nice mail slot however, it could use a closing flap on the inside piece as well to keep heat and cold from getting in. Maybe that should be an option for the manufacturer to consider. We live in New York and we get very cold winters here having that open on the inside allows a draft. We purchased a second one so that we could have a closing flap inside and outside. Makes a huge difference. Overall though the quality is great easy to install and beautiful to look at.

This mail slot is very well made, cast brass, nicely finished, and substantial. The spring closer is hidden and there are no rough edges. It is of ample size for larger envelopes. You get what you pay for with this item.

Really happy with this mailbox slot. Blends in nicely with my siding - charcoal gray - and matches hardware - oil rubbed bronze of front door. I had my contractor install it with a custom build box on the inside of the garage. So now I have the most expensive mailbox on the block lol. Will do it to my next house - if city allows.

Just moved into a new house which has a mail slot and not a mailbox. I attempted to polish the old brass mail slot but it was beyond redemption. This one fit perfectly and matches the trim on the address sign. Looks great.

Solid quality, nice finish, decent screws and easy to install. Now let's see how well it weathers.

Know exactly what size slot you have so screw pattern will work and not fall where slot is.

No template , no instructions in packaging,no insert to hide the cuts you make that always come out imperfect. Other problems as well.

Received this mailbox cover and installed it fast and much easier than I expected. In the past, I ordered another brand and the holes did not line up. This plate installed without a fight. The antique brass color has a gorgeous finish. If I had to reorder (hope this one lasts ten years), I would order this plate again.

Great look and fit, just a bit stiff, which causes it hard to slide the mail in. Hopefully, it will loosen up over time.
