Enchroma Glasses - Tilden - Color Correcting & Enhancing Glasses Outdoor Use for Deutan and Protan Color Blindness

These are nice quality color blind glasses. They took a second to get use too but they definitely improved my colors after some use and I love them as a travel pair for when I'm on the go.

I know these don't work for everyone but for my 30 yr. old son......well, I couldn't video him because he used a lot of expletives. We only recently realized he was pretty strongly deutron colorblind. After a couple of weeks feeling fairly certain I was the "Worst Mother in the World" because of not catching this when he was 25, or 20, or15, or maybe 5 I chose to assuage my guilt by getting him a pair of Enchroma glasses. They were a little spendy for me if they hadn't worked but I relied on Amazon's return policy to convince me to buy them. Our yard is peppered with hundreds of seed from our Mountain Laurel tree. They are pretty bright red. He had never noticed them before because they were the same color as the grass and dried leaves. 30 years old and he had never seen that the bark of a tree was a different color than the leaves. He cried, I cried, his brother cried. I'm pretty sure the neighbors would have cried if they knew why we were laughing and swearing in our front yard. If they work for you they are amazing!!

Edit November 26th 2023. I have tried several times to contact customer support about my issue with no response. This company clearly doesn’t care at all about the people that they are supposedly trying to help. My shady rays sunglasses are still in great condition. I would never recommend these to anyone nor buy them again.So far I am very disappointed in these glasses. They work very well in correcting color blindness I believe. Honestly none of us would really know if we're seeing what everyone usually does or just a pinker version of the world. Unfortunately these do cause a pink shade to everything at first since the lenses are very tinted with pink. They do make red pop out alot more and other colors have more red to them which I'm assuming is a good thing sense I have protanopia which strips some of the red tint from the world. The main downfall is the quality of these. I have owned them since July and already one side has broken off. I went to put them on and one of the side just snapped off. Like plastic that had been bent to many times. I would think a pair of $250 glasses would stay together longer then 6 months but these didn't even make it that long. I don't even use them alot more then your average person. Probably the same amount as any average person. I have two pairs of shady rays sunglasses with lifetime warranties that have lasted over 2 years with no scratches and cost a fraction of what these did. Granted they are not color blind correcting but they are sunglasses none the less and built just the same. If a pair of $60 sunglasses can outlast a pair of $250 sunglasses in quality that's just sad. Also as far as I can tell enchroma offers a very limited warranty. Shady rays will give you two free replacements for life. Litterally. Do better enchroma. Just do better.

I used to have enchroma glasses several years ago so I am comparing these to those. The new glasses have the blue reflection which in person kind of makes them look cheap and from a gas station. The frames are also not as sturdy feeling as they used to feel but with them being so light it did make them comfortable. I do not feel like the color was as vivid as the pair that I used to own and I am not sure if this is somehow due to the blue on the lenses but I purchased a more expensive pair that is polarized and does not have the blue direct from enchroma to compare.

I received a pair of the Protan sunglasses today and they are great.I have Red/Green color blindness with particularly difficulty with red. It kind of looks brownish especially when looking at objects at a distance.These glasses (like regular sunglasses) make everything look slightly dimmer but make greens and reds dramatically pop out and appear very bright. Grass and trees are ultra green while reds (stop signs, red cars, red speedometer needles) appear almost glowing/neon red/orange. It's pretty intense.It reminds me of "Witcher Sight" in Witcher III if you'll permit me a videogame reference.If you have red/green color blindness then I highly recommend giving them a try.

I've been looking at Enchroma Glasses with awe and wonder since 2014. It is something that I couldn't justify purchasing myself but also something I've wanted. This year my wife surprised me telling me she was going to buy me a pair.What is great about these glasses? Well how about the fact I can actually see color vibrantly. I'm a red/green mild protan colorblind individual. Generally I have a 25% failure rate on the standard Ishihara test. Upon putting the glasses on I everything popped. Reds looked redder, greens looked greener, it was like opening my eyes for the first time.Now don't get me wrong, after wearing these glasses I tried another Ishihara test just to see how big of an impact it made. The short of it is I still am color blind. But I didn't expect that to really change.Would I buy these again? Absolutely. Actually I'm eyeing one of the indoor pairs now. I'm curious if that would make a difference as well. I suspect that it would even if it is marginal compared to the sunglasses I truly don't care. Any benefit, any ability to better take in this world's beauty.These glasses are amazing.

Bought this pair for a family friend that was color blind and he was shocked that they truly worked, because he had bought a pair to help before and they didn't so i give it 5 stars!! Make sure they person using them wears them for a bit (15-20mins) then take them off an look around and bam already starting to tell
