I had the exact same experience as Lindsay Seligman: this product worked for older versions of Mac OS, and now it doesn't. Furthermore they don't answer the phone for support. Do not buy.

If you see any good reviews they are from 2016 this product no longer works on the new operating system.This does not work for Mac at all and it is not Plug N Play. They do not tell you until you buy it but you have to wipe your entire Mac if you are running on High Sierra or later (which is most everyone). Then once installed Since installing it causes it to crash 6-12 times a day, losing work or data vital to my freelance job.They stopped answering my support emails and denied responding to my BBB complaint. The just disappeared and I wasted $400 plus hours and hours of time and I was stuck with this thing in my computer that was crashing it constantly and losing my freelance work which is how I support myself.This has been a nightmare situation.I got Apple Care to help me get it out and it broke my HD so I had to take it in to get it fixed.Anyone have any suggestions on how to be compensated for my money this company has become a total scam.Worst experience I have ever had with any company. They must be going out of business or else they are criminal.It's criminal either way that they still sell this.Please DO NOT BUY.

I bought mine through their Kickstarter program. Extremely happy...because it just works. I have added an additional 256GB of fast (around 85MB/sec read/write) storage by just popping this into my SD card slot. It doesn't stick out like an SD card, but fits perfectly into my MacBook Pro.It is so easy, I forget that it is there. Recommended for anyone looking for a fast, easy, seamless way to expand their Mac laptop storage.

Cons (get the bad news out of the way first, but notice I still rate 5 stars):- The device is not quite flush. It sticks out by maybe only 1mm, maybe a little less. Doesn't sound like a lot and I'm not really that upset about it, but still...not completely flush as advertised.- I ordered directly off of their website (tardisk.com) for a price of $399. Then I come on here (Amazon) and find they're selling the same product for only $300. It's my fault for not shopping around more, so I won't dock any stars, but I don't really understand how there can be a $99 price difference between two websites...- Again, not their fault, so I won't dock any stars, but my TarDisk was shipped via USPS and was delayed by about a week. Kinda lame.Pros (the stuff that really matters):- Insanely simple and quick to setup. I followed as many of their easy-to-follow online instructions as I could before I even received my TarDisk, so once I received it, my system was all ready to go. Installation/setup took maybe 10 minutes, if that. No issues whatsoever.- So much extra, fast storage from such a small device! Incredible.- I used my TarDisk to Pear with my current SSD and add the extra combined storage, but I love that you also have the option to use it as a separate drive if you so desire (note you can ONLY Pear or use it as a separate drive, not both).- It just works. Very well! Overall extremely happy with this purchase.

This was a total lifesaver-my hard drive was full and I thought I would have to delete all my files. Tardisk was a great alternative to the iCloud or an external hard drive and I highly recommend it to everyone. Great product.
