This little mortar and pestle is perfect! It’s small, cute, and just the right size for grinding herbs, spices, or even pills. The ceramic feels sturdy and smooth, and it’s really easy to clean. I take care of my mom, who has dementia, and she’s gotten to where she doesn’t want to take her meds so I’ve started crushing them and hiding them in her food. But the regular pill crushers don’t grind fine enough to put them in liquids so I got this so that I can put her morning meds in her nutrition shake. This does a fantastic job! It’s very small and I can easily hold it in one hand and grind away.

I realize that it was gonna be small, but the length of the handle makes it a bit too unwieldy to use. Once again, I knew the dimensions of the product. I was looking for something that was portable and this works, but it would’ve been nice if the pestle I had a bit more weight to it or was just a tad bit longer because grinding things down feels a lot harder than it should.

I got the smallest one and the biggest one which is also in the photo I added so you could see them side by side for comparison the biggest to smallest and the smallest is exactly what I needed. The biggest isn’t bad at all but for what I’m going for the smallest ended up working great. It fits perfectly in the palm of your hand. If you are looking for large amounts of medication to be crushed I would choose the larger one but if it’s smaller stuff then choose the little one. It’s light weight but is durable. Portable and easy to use. The larger one was also great to use. I was very happy with it when I used it. I am very happy I ordered it cuz now I have both options if I need them. Plus I know there will be days when I know I need the larger one so it’s a win win. Very happy with this product. The only issue I have is that things get stuck on the side and the only remedy I have found to that is using a plastic straw to get the excess off the sides. I’ve had to do that for years with any of these types of mortars. Plastic straw, always works. Just scrape it off the sides and it works like a gem. But I recommend this 100%. It’s a great buy for the sizes, price, durability and use. So glad I found it. Worth it!

We have to crush our fur babies pill. This does the trick. Crushes to a very fine powder type consistency. Then we put the pill in mixture of Churo, lickable type treat and Churo broth. Loves it. Tried other method of crushing the pill and even with the lickable our fur baby knew the pill was there. So crushed the pill using this small mortar and it crushed it that fine that our fur baby licked it all up in her Churo. It is also a bitter tasting pill per the information on the pill.

Works well. Smaller than I expected but that's my fault for not reading the size. I used it to crush up some caraway seeds for a recipe. It said to toast them first so I don't know if this helped or hurt. They crushed up fairly well but not as small as I would have liked and I worked at it for awhile. Caraway seeds are a dark brown/black and since I was busy with the other parts of the recipe, after I dumped the seeds in my pot I left the item on the counter. Went to wash it a little later and saw it looked a little stained but with a little elbow work the stains came off. Overall, not bad for price compared to others and I won't be using it very often. I would buy again.

The bowl size is exactly what I needed. However, the pestle is very small-short and narrow. Can only use 2-3 fingers on it. Not enough force to crush pills. I had to use the larger pestle from the old set and that combination works well especially with the rough interior of the mortar. Also, beware that the mortar is white, so it is hard to see if you emptied the bowl of white powdered pills. Durability: Ceramic. Hopefully it will not crack like my old glass one.

El triturador anterior estaba demasiado grande y ocupaba mucho espacio en mi cocina. Este esta del tamaño perfecto y cabe en cualquier cajon. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

Bonito y cumple su función

El mortero es pequeño pero muy útil, el problema es que la mano del mortero es demasiado pequeña, se muele con los dedos y es difícil, por lo demás llegó perfecto y los materiales si son de porcelana.

Para moler especias en pequeñas cantidades es una maravilla
