I have heard of these bag inserts being useful for those bags lacking interior pockets but have never seen them in stores. I have a few different sizes of Longchamp bags, which I call the 'black hole' on those busy days when I lose things in the bottom. This insert fits both the large and small style, though I think it is intended for the small one since it fits just right with little room to spare. In the large bag, it worked well but had some extra room around the edge which is not necessarily a bad thing either. It is a thick, somewhat rigid red felt material. It has a finished seam around the main body of the pouch, and the pockets themselves have a cut, smoothed edge. It has tons of open pockets of varying size on both the inside and outside of the pouch which make it versatile to hold just about anything in place for easy viewing and organization. This includes two flat interior pockets, one large flat pocket on one outer wall and three flat pockets on the other outer wall. There is also a central 3-pocket part of the pouch that is removable and these sections have no bottom but rather hold things in place. This part of the pouch is secured in place on each side by two velcro strips. When removed it leaves a more open pouch option to accommodate larger items. I really like this item and has greatly improved my organization. A couple of observations I think might be relevant is that the felt is firm and the way it is sewn, note that it will not collapse extremely flat when not in use. There is a seam at the bottom that allows it to reduce by about 50%, but isn't going to collapse down to a totally flat shape. Secondly, I imagine over time it might pill or wrinkle, so I wouldn't expect it to be as crisp after months of heavy use as it does on day one. That being said, I think its very well done. It is a vibrant, attractive warm red that would look amazing in a black or brown bag while the bright color allows you to see inside.

Light weight but sturdy, never collapsed in the bag. Perfectly fit in my tote. Red color make it a lot easier to find my stuff. Worth the price.

I love carrying totes - I tend to collect them when I travel - but they can quickly turn into a jumble. I tried to solve the problem by using a smaller organizer I have for medium-size purses, but that quickly became part of the jumble, and not the solution. The result was that I rarely used them. This is just the right size to fit most of those totes and I am finally able to use them as functional purses. This organizer is sturdy enough that it also give the floppier totes I have some form. I can now use my totes interchangeably with ease - this organizer simply lifts out of one and into the other in no time. It could not be easier. The organizer is especially great in backpacks, which I don't often use except for traveling when every single pocket and compartment is used, appreciated, and super easy to get to. It is quite large and the felt fabric is quite stiff. It stands up on its own. The pockets on the sides do not have gussets, so they are more like slide-in slots, but they work well for flat objects like cell phones, cables, plane/train tickets, maps, travel kleenex, you get the picture. The larger slot pockets have more leeway to fit bulkier items. I can fit a ton into this organizer and it says pretty tidy. What more could I ask for? If you have a lot of totes, especially ones you never seem to use, this organizer might give them a new life. It did for mine, so I'm very happy with this.
