These are simple and effective. I keep them around to avoid having to pour gas into my lawn mower or generator. A little practice and you get better at not spilling any gas. Place the long straight tube in the gas can, and the flexible tube in the gas tank of the machine you are gassing up. Screw the white cap closed and start squeezing the orange handle. Keep in mind that there is gas in the line and stop before the tank is completely full. When done unscrew the white cap and the gas in the straight tube will return to the gas can, and the gas in the flexible tube will continue on to the gas tank in your machine.Manually squeezing the orange pump can get a little tedious if you are transferring a large quantity of gas but it can be done. You will need a table if filling an automobile or truck to get the gas can to the same level of gas tank in your rig as the hoses are a little short. In the picture, I have this propped up on a recycling bin just as a demonstration of what can be done if you need to fill your rig. Don't get yourself in a fix by letting the gas can slip off!

I know what it’s supposed to be used for but I purchased this specifically to suction out the water from my turtle tank when I clean it. My hands stay dry & turtle poop free & it was an inexpensive purchase. Win/Win in my book. Now if I could just get the kids to do it without making a mess……

They were inexpensive and are what I expected. Adjusting the red cap is needed to ensure they work at all. Have not tried other than for adding/removing water from my aquarium - not great for that use. The will syphon OK but were far from drip free.

Totally unusable.Unfortunately I hadn't gotten to the project I needed to use this for until today and the return window closed about 10 days ago. This has a hard plastic bulb that cannot squeeze down properly to be useable. It's a waste of money and won't suction up anything.I'm hoping maybe to find a bulb I can use otherwise I'll probably just toss it into the trash. As usual, buying things on Amazon is a crap shoot and if it's made in China, which this is and where they have no quality control, expect it to break, malfunction or just not work from the jump.Wish I could at least get some future credit for this, but since that probably won't happen, it just means I'm ordering less and less from Amazon. They don't seem to care what they sell either as long as they're making money from it.
