Fantastic Helmet!
Overall this is a awesome helmet. Of course I made my purchase in November in west Michigan so it's a little hard to judge the ventilation, but I have rode with it open and I can tell that it is better than my Shoei GT Air. I wear a size large and this fits great! I have one other modular helmet from another manufacturer and the the Neotec II is more comfortable and quite than that one. The appearance of the Metallic Anthracite is beautiful. This is the first helmet that I have owned without D rings and I have to play around with the adjustment a little as I seem to feel the buckle on my neck. If I were to have a complaint it would be that and the fact that it is on the pricey side, oh and that I have been looking at the Neotec II for several months and never see them on sale.

Great Helmet!
I've been using this type of helmet for years. Great fit, not too heavy. Love the modular feature. Gets a little noisy over 90mph or so.

Worth every penny
Iโve just got back into motorcycle touring after about two decades off. Iโve had to balance saving money with spending money on the right things. I started with a $150 Bilt modular that was ok but is that really where you want to skimp? No itโs not and once I put this helmet on and rode with it, I knew I made the right choice. I ride in the PNW so fogging has been an issue but not with this helmet, the vents work extremely well. The fit is good but a bit snug around my face but the more I wear it the more it conforms with the shape of my head. This is a solid helmet and I recommend it.

You get what you pay for
I have a very large head (63mm) and the 2XL fit me...barely. It is quite comfortable. The quality is obviously high. Everything is well thought out. The pin lock worked perfectly in preventing fogging. I love the chin strap connection after using D rings only in the past. I ride a standard (retro) bike with no fairings, and while the wind noise is noticeable, it is not annoying. There is almost no buffeting. People talk about feeling the air flow through the upper vent, but I never noticed it much. Is it worth the $750 cost? I guess I'd say yes. It is expensive, but in my opinion is the best modular (non carbon fiber) helmet. And I'm worth it!

Improvement over Neotec
Overall this is a great helmet. I've had a neotec for the prior 6 years. It expired, so I upgraded to the Neotec 2. It feels lighter, but it's not. It sounds quieter, but there is still pronounced wind noise, especially at highway speed. I was hoping I could retire my earplugs. Not yet. Perhaps when the Neotec 3 comes out. Intercom integration works very weel, however, Sena systems have an annoying and frequent loud clicking noise whenever connecting to 3 or more other systems. Sena has known about it for years, but haven't fixed the problem yet. But that's on Sena, not Shoei. To me, this is the best and most comfortable modular helmet in its price range. But there is clearly room for improvement. Get on it Shoei engineers! Keep improving.

Excellent helmet but not easy to wire for Cardo Neotec 2.
Very hard to wire for Cardo Edge. Also hard to insert the left cheek pad. That said, the helmet fits perfectly and works as intended.

Super comfortable, easy to use controls, pretty quiet for a modular helmet
Bought this helmet to replace a Nolan modular I have been wearing for 14 years. The padding just wore out on the Nolan so I bit the bullet and spent way more than I ever have on a helmet, and glad that I did. At six hundred beans this helmet ain't cheap, but since the regular price was eight beans, I think it's a deal. The release of the Neo III made everyone put the Neo II on sale. The padding is excellent, the chin strap ratchet is similar to the Nolan so I am comfortable with that feature. The drop down sunglass visor actually has a lever that can be reached and used while riding, as does the front vent. This helmet is WAY more quiet than my Nolan. Some reviewers say the weight of this helmet is more than they prefer, but I don't even notice it. The build quality and finish on the Shoei is simply superb. My hat size is 7-3/8 and the size large fits perfectly, just like their sizing chart suggests it would.

Functional and effective
Assembly was a bit of challenge if you have to fit in a external Bluetooth like Sena. Otherwise pretty good.
