These are great pens, very comfortable to hold, writes smooth without skipping

This pen was the absolute best writing tool I'd found in years! Writes so smoothly and the ergonomic grip is just the write width so that my hand doesn't cramp up, especially after writing for a long period of time. The ink dries so quickly that it doesn't smudge when you brush your hand over it, especially if you're a lefty and end up dragging your hand down over the page. 1.4mm point is especially preferred so that the ink glides over the paper easily, without making that annoying scratching sound, as I write and all my letters are nicely filled in. I'm very upset that I can't find this pen for sale anywhere anymore. I looked up on the PaperMate website and they still technically have it listed, but apparently its been discontinued. I'm so disappointed. I hope they've just decided to rebrand it as something else. =(

What's wrong with those of you who rate these pens a "one" or "1 star". I'm convinced that PaperMate goes way of their way to make certain they work. That means that each and EVERY PEN has a plastic seal over the writing end of the pen that 'HAS TO BE REMOVED BEFORE IT WILL WRITE!!" If it is not removed it will certainly not write. Those of you that rate these are poor, I'm convinced you are NOT REMOVING THIS SEAL... Papermate makes the STUPID MISTAKE in not putting a note on the exterior of the box telling people that they need to do this. I also did not removed them until returned them to Wal Mart where the Sales Person showed me what I was not doing correctly. Now I order them by the box and NEVER HAVE A FAILURE! Look at yours carefully and you'll see what I'm referring to. Actually it's a great service on PaperMates part just crazy DUMB that they are not putting instructions on the out side of the box!!!!! This is THE BEST pen that I have ever used. I have been using Paper Mate's Profile Elite for a very long time. It is the only pen that I carry in my purse, work bag, and at my office. People try to swipe my pen, but I put my name on them. They are lightweight and very comfortable to hold. The tip size is perfect for neat handwriting. I dislike pointy pens as it makes my cursive look like chicken scratch. Very smooth writing presentation. I tend to be a presser but these pens have changed that for me. These allow me to hold comfortably without making my fingers cramp and no more callus. Paper Mate please make these a regular staple. We love them.

Anyone who has a job will find a pen that is indispensable in the workplace. This is the one. The grip is perfect; the ink flow is perfect; the thickness of the line is perfect. And, for leisure, this is the perfect pen to use for crossword puzzles. I will never use another pen.

Overall, Papermate Profile Elite retractable pens are great pens that look very attractive, feel comfy in ur hand & write boldly & smoothly. The only drawback is that every single pen "skips" when ur writing. Suddenly for no discernable reason, the pens ink stops flowing. I guess its due to air bubbles. I shake the pen down but sometimes even that doesnt help. Usually I scribble on other paper or lite cardboard to get the pen flowing again. This happens w every Papermate Profile Elite retractable pen I use. Other than that, I love these pens.I can NEVER find them in the DOZEN BOX IN BLUE at my local big box office supply stores which is irritating. So I buy them here on Amazon. The Seller was quick to ship, but the box it comes in arrived flattened bc it was shipped in an envelope. No biggie, the pens were unharmed. If Papermate could fix the skipping ink dysfunction, these would be the Perfect Pen. I like this Elite model much better than the regular Papermate Profile model bc that model tends to leave blobs of ink on papers & all over my fingers, plus they also hv the same skipping ink malfunction.

I’m an RN in the ER and this is by far my favorite pen for work. Great speed and comfort, wonderful balance, awesome ink, never clogs, nice bold lines when I want them, terrific control, clip is strong and never falls out of my pocket like some others can. I can’t lend it out ‘cause I won’t get it back.Only wish the ink reservoir was larger. They don’t last me more than two or three weeks, and the refills are more expensive than the whole pen. Cheaper to buy them by the box when they’re on sale.That said, I’ll never buy another pen. These are just awesome.

Excellent pens. As others have reported, this pen is so comfortable and easy to write with, it seems to effortlessly glide across the page! A bit pricey, compared to other Papermate pens; even the Profile is considerably less. But this Profile Elite is the bomb and so worthwhile, it is easy to justify the price. The seller Office Depot chose unwisely to ship in a soft envelope, instead of box, and the pen's cardboard box inside was crushed, with pens spilling out as I pulled it from the plastic shipping bag. But the pens were intact, so no harm done. It's interesting to note that my hand doesn't cramp when I'm writing fast or for a longer duration with this pen. And the ink flow starts immediately, continuing steady and smooth, without any 'overflow'.

These pens are amazing, the only problem is that everyone tries stealing them from me they write so well.

These are a nice smooth writing pen. I only got them in a few days ago and already missing a couple (husband took 2, oldest and middle daughter each took 1). Many think that a pen is just a pen, but I do find differences in them and this one has a nice grip, comfortable to hold, writes smooth. Will buy again.
