Some new ideas
I thought the type of adhesive used was not current. Or maybe out of date.

Written for the Love of Mosaics
I have SEVERAL mosaic art books and this is the only one I have read word for word and cover to cover. It is written in an energetic, realistic voice(s). Each writer has her individual style and voice and they complement each other beautifully. The book is divided into methods, styles, and materials. The projects are modern and they include the two artist's work. I also liked the work of Ruth Day they included in the book. They have recommendations of tools and techniques. Their use of the ring saw makes me want to run out and buy one.I thank them for writing this book and highly recommend it for the mosaic artist and for people just interested in mosaics.

Creative, creative, creative!
These two artists fom New Zealand raise mosaic art to a brand new level! I love their free spirited, eccentric--sometimes totally crazy--and innovative projects, and their total immersion in the art. Their projects are not for the faint of heart, nor for the beginner, that's for sure, and you would need a lot--a LOT--of space to create pieces remotely similar, but their unusual techniques and approaches are a fantastic source of inspiration and ideas. The book includes lots of excellent pictures and explanations. A wonderful and FUN book for those who are constantly looking for out-of-the-beaten-path creativity.

Unique approach to mosaics and more from gifted authors and artists
Great approach to creating mosaics with tiles, plates, glass, pebbles, polymer clay and found objects. Very informative and fun to read!!! Highly recommended for those who are non-traditionalists!!! Enjoy

Examples of projects were horrible.
A few months back I decided to take up Mosaics and ordered this and another book to learn the process and to get design ideas. Unfortunately this book was a waste of money. It is just so-so at describing the process and listing do's and don'ts of creating mosaics. The completed projects in the book that are suppose to inspire you are absolutely horrible. There is no way I would have any of them in my house or yard. Most are done with "found" objects, and believe it or not the authors even incorporate decoupage into their mosaic pieces. Yuk. The pieces are very old fashion looking and most do not use the colorful class and tiles that are currently available for mosaic. I have turned to Pinterest for my inspiration. There are many beautiful mosaic ideas on the internet that provide greater inspiration for my projects.

Informative book
I have read the entire book. I found it quite informative and with great pics. Although the mosaic styles are not exactly the styles I would necessarily do, it was interesting to see and read about them.

Best of the Best!
I rarely write a review, but this delightful book deserves one! Out of the about 3 dozen books that I have on Mosaics, this is truly my favorite! I love the authors' enthusiasm & creativity & the photographs are beautiful, as well. Very inspiring!

Good book
I like to buy different books on this subject so I can get a feel for how different authors approach the subject. I was somewhat pleased with the content of the information as well as the sample projects in the back.
