Game Changer
Like most people looking for something better, we've owned our fair share of Harmony remotes right up to the Harmony One which has just been replaced. The Ray Remote is our hands-down undisputed king of remotes. No more setting up and plugging in your remote to make updates when you purchase new gear, everything is already on the Ray! It updates itself "on the fly" via WiFi and has a true processor that is way beyond anything Logitech makes for their Harmony line. No more cheap plastic, either. This thing is built like a tank with Corning Gorilla glass covering the front and back. This is one substantial remote that's not only tough, but looks good, too. Set-up is unbelievably easy and fast. Well worth the money!

If you crave the Force, get the Ray
Golly gee whiz isn't I putting on airs? While others drool over my 65" Panasonic 4K curved Tv and hear the sound through my Yamaha YSP-2500 digital sound projector both being serviced by an 4th Generation Apple TV, an XFinity box and a Panasonic BlueRay DVD, I'm saving the highlight for last.I wait patiently for someone to say "Where are your remotes?" That's when I pull out the Ray. Sure there are unified remotes. A dime a dozen. They always lack functions and the updates are non-exist non-existent. Blumo and RCA both have IR repeater remotes controlled by iPhone Apps. They aren't bad. Similar to those, if not lot more expensive, I also have a Harmony Remote which I admit does everything but what a pain to setup and maintain. Then there is Ray. Packing the simplicity of a single hand held remote, with the versatility of the Harmony, but with no hassles. This thing about programs itself. All of my electronics were supported out of the box. Updates are regular. Holds a charge well and comes with a charging base that looks good in a formal living room.Downside is that it is line of sight only. I predict Ray will one day write an app that will allow one to out the Ray on the charge facing the system and operate it remotely. That is just a prediction based on my use of the device and not inside knowledge. My friends oooh an ahhh and covet my Ray. Which leads to the only other downside. This is an Apple like product in design, build and software performance. Be prepared to pay accordingly.I crave to be the Master of my Universe at all times. You too? Get Ray and step up to Jedi like command of your home entertainment array.I received a sharp stick in the eye for my biased review. I used my own gold doubloons to purchase this expensive, must have, addictive in use, futuristic electronic oddity.

Customer support was excellent and they are very interested in your input
Ok got the new remote today and it went fairly well. But as to be expected with about 7 remotes to program I did have a few quirks. Some of it was just me having to learn it and other things were things that could use some refining. Customer support was excellent and they are very interested in your input. This is a fairly new product so there are a few wrinkles that have to be ironed out. For me one thing I have to dig into a bit is controlling my avr. The default buttons on the side do control volume and mute but there is no avr showing on my home screen. There is another way to see hidden devices and you can customize what features you want to be available and there are a ton for my denon 910. This will be a work in progress for a while until I figure all that out. All in all I'm happy with my purchase and will be keeping it knowing as time goes by this unit will just keep getting better and better. I will however be keeping my factory remotes nearby just in case. Will have more as i learn more about it.Update:So I've had the Ray Super Remote for about a week and this thing is getting really nice to use. In other words I'm getting used to using it. It has a very strong IR signal so I really don't have to point it directly at the entertainment rack. This is especially true for the new Samsung UHD blu ray player, which had to be pointed directly to it. The only quirk I need corrected is to have the ability to turn off the on/off function for the Comcast X1 box. It does have a "never turn off" feature but the problem I have is that when you use the multi power on feature it sends an "on" signal to the X1 box which acts like a toggle switch, so it switches it from "on" to "off" now. So the tv and the avr come on and the X1 box turns off. Other than this it works great. And I'm sure this will get corrected. Ray customer support has been exceptional. They actually called me out of the blue last week to see how everything was going. You just don't see this kind of customer support these days. Bottom line -- the more I use this the more I like it. I can't compare it to other universals out there being this is my first universal. But I do like a remote that doesn't have buttons all over the place so this was a good fit for me.
