Lowepro ProTactic TLZ 75 AW DSLR toploader - expand to hold up to 70-200mm f/2.8 and lens hood with portrait grip - camera gear to personal belongings - for DSLR Like Canon 5D - LP37279-PWW

This is another top-quality case from Lowepro which does what it is intended to perfectly. It will take a full-size DSLR body (such as a Canon EOS 5D with extended battery pack) with any a typical mid-size professional lens (e.g., Canon EF 100-400 F4.5-5.6 L IS, EF 70-200 F2.8 L IS III USM, EF 28-300 F3.5-5.6 L IS USM). It is the only case I have found which does this. It provides a good level of protection in rugged environments whilst still allowing quick and easy access to the camera, and overall I cannot fault the case, it is an excellent product.

I have been a fan of Lowepro products. This one is another product which deliver what it tends to do. I use it for my R5 + Battery grip + 70-200 L f2.8 mk3 + hood and it fit perfectly (with expansion opened). Very recommended.

Fits my Nikon 850 and 70 - 200 lens a treat. And pockets for extras as well.

Does what it should

Fast delivery and brilliant camera.

This feels as strong as one would expect from lowepro - but it is so bulky! The top is square - which must be great for the large bodied pro cameras such as the Canon EOS 1D or for people who use attachments to the camera body requiring that size - but otherwise it just makes it too large. I wanted to be able to take longer lenses with my present body than my Toploader Zoom 50 AW II will take but was very disappointed to have to send it back. (The type I was trying to replicate was the Toploader Zoom 70 AW II which no longer appears to be available). If you have a Pro type camera or use attachments- then it is well built and sturdy and will protect your gear.

For a case meant for serious setups, this one's a bit lacking in pockets - There's one zipped pocket on the lid and a slip pocket (not closeable) on the front.The cheaper, smaller Toploader Pro 70 AW has the lid pocket, a front zipped pocket, a small elasticated pocket on the front of the front pocket and the same slip pocket as the TLZ 75.Build quality is usual Lowepro high standard, just a shame they penny-pinched on the pockets. The ThinkTank Digital Holster 50 V 2.0 looks a far better bet.Case is a good but snug fit for a Sony A7 III with battery grip and 70-200 F 2.8 MKII (hood reversed) , just wish there were more pockets.

This is my solution to storing and protecting my travel setup (Full-frame mirrorless with 24 - 200). I needed to have something compact to go into my cycling panniers. It doesn’t have space for additional lenses, but I have bags with greater capacity, but none are as compact as the Lowepro ProTactic TLZ 75 AW DSLR toploader. As with all of my Lowepro bags the quality is exemplary.
