Fujifilm LH-XF35-2 Lens Hood for XF23mm F2 & XF35mm F2

At first, it seemed like this lens hood was a little pricey. Once I received it, the all metal construction of this durable lens hood definitely made it worth its price. Its a perfect match stylistically with the 35F2 Fuji lens. It gives a little bit more substance than the OEM lens hood. It not only adds shade against lens flare, but also adding more physical protection against bumps and drops. This lens hood is especially a must have for those of us who use a rangefinder style camera from Fuji because the vented design of the lens hood makes it very easy to use with the optical viewfinder.

This is how lens hoods should be made. Its fits more precisely and feels better made than the similar hoods I used to use with my Leica lenses.It's important to realize that this hood fits on the bayonet mount machined around the front of the lens: it does not use the filter threads like a cheap third party round hood option. This allows a filter to be used without stacking with the hood.This hood also significantly improves the look of the 35mm f/2 (50mm equivalent). It fills out and balances the small, tapered look of the lens.The hood attaches with a quarter turn and a positive, firm click.My only regret is that neither Nikon nor Canon offer such well made hoods. Even with their most expensive professional lenses the hoods are flimsy plastic.

The fit is perfect and the metal material feels strong an of goo quality. It give my 23mm lens a really cool and professional look.

Expensive piece of metal that make your lens look like 200% better. Its construction is top notch.

Way too expensive for what it is (and nothing else comes in the box), but the quality is definitely there. I had a crappy threaded hood that not only felt cheap, but would vignette very noticeably when placed over a filter. It also looked weird because it got very skinny towards the end, whereas this hood is the perfect size. Still, it should cost about half as much or be included with the lenses.

Great product. The hood seems well made and improve the athestic look of my 35mm f2. On top of that it allows me to install my B&W filter easy. Highly recommended.

It's an expensive piece of metal. Of you want to have everything Fuji. Get this. If this does not factor in your budget, get something else.

This should have been included with the lens in my opinion. It looks great and is well made. Much better than the tiny hood included with the lens. It does add some length, but overall the aesthetic it adds is worth it. Again that's my opinion. If you factor in the low cost of the 35mm f2, then the cost of the hood is too big of a deal. But one of the reasons they should've just included it. Either way the quality and design are great.
