- Smart Deadbolt Fingerprint Electronic Door Lock with Digital Keypad

I wish I had one when my kids were young instead of them losing so many keys. It comes with 2 fobs, 2 keys, and you can program your finger print or a code. Grandkids will have a fingerprint. Absent minded husband who always loses keys has a code. Device runs off 4 AA batteries so no worries about power outage. I'm going to buy more for the garage and backdoor. The only issue was the initial set up. After setting up my account and password the system refused to recognize my password. After so many tries the system kicks you out for 24 hours. The easy fix was to uninstall and reinstall the app. I tried calling a few times and tried to leave a message for help but the system kept disconnecting. NOT a customer service problem. Definitely an IT phone issue. 4th try and left a very fast message (name + phone number) before phone disconnect. Maybe IT can fix that. CS rep texted me back and everything was resolved. Awesome CS rep service. Very helpful. We are going to love this thing as soon as husband gets trained to use the #key to lock the door instead of fishing for keys. Haha!!!

I don’t often leave reviews, but I thought I’d leave this one! I’ve had two of these locks, one on my patio door and one of my front door for one year now. I’m only back on the page to leave this review because I’ve ordered a third for the door that leads to my garage. So far, I haven’t really had any issues with this. The fingerprint works, and my kids come in the front door every single day using the combo. You can setup multiple combos. Do I think this is the best lack you can get on the market, probably not. But is it efficient for the price, yes. And the locking function seems to work every time. I do agree with some of the other reviews that the connectivity, you have to be close to the lack to get it to do things, but to me I don’t really use that feature often. Really only to check battery life.

After three or so years it gave up. It was working great and suddenly the fingerprint feature stopped working and the battery life went from months to just a couple weeks. I’ve tried everything to fix it but it appears it’s dead. The keypad still works however; but with batteries lasting just a couple weeks now, it’s not worth keeping. So, my reviews are mixed. Worked great but died far too soon than I expected.

These locks were very easy to install. I put 2 of them in and had to have Elaine FaceTime me. She was very responsive and the issue was resolved within minutes!! I had tried what Elaine asked me to do (too hard to describe) but told her I’d do it again! And VOILA!!! I give the Alexa integration a 1 star because it keeps telling me that an account already exists after entering my phone number and password. I’m tired so will try again in the morning! I replaced 2 Liftmaster locks that would NOT hold the wifi so only Bluetooth worked. It defeats the purpose of having remote control. These locks were less than I paid for one of the LM locks. Love the fingerprint option! Elaine was fantastic and if I need help again, I hope she’s working because she’s very good at what she does! Also loved that she asked if we could do a video chat! Streamlined the fix by not having to take pics/email/wait for a response etc etc etc! I haven’t been able to check locking the door via wifi/remote but I’m not worried about it working! Keeps locking us inside! Even after we disengaged the “privacy lock“ the bolt continues to lock us inside and needs to be disabled manually via the app. This was a REAL problem for my wife when she was trying to leave the house to run errands and collect our children but did not have the app herself and had to call me to help her (while I was driving at high speeds on a highly congested highway): and I was not close enough for the app’s Bluetooth to connect to the lock and unlock it for her. She had to download the app herself and manually work through set up and features to figure out how to disable it. It was a nightmare. She was late to pick up our children, which caused its own problems. I wanted this loc to work so well since it has so many ways to unlock it, but alas, I remain disappointed—and TERRIFIED I’ll be trapped in my own home during an emergency! Not a risk I’m willing to accept for my family.

I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I’ve had this lock for 4 yrs and it works great! I’ve honestly never had an issue. The door tag and screen work well. If my print is unreadable I just add my code and press #. Does need new batteries every year or so but the app lets you know. I’m about to buy one as a gift. I would definitely recommend this and I have not been paid or asked to make this review. I rarely review but can’t understand all the negative reviews. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The locks are fine and work fine. They even provide a screw driver and drill bit that you might need for the installation. The physical part of the installation is super simple but getting them to work right is a little more complicated. The toggle switch to set the lock to operate a right or a left sided doorlock is easy to understand but the instructions do not tell you that you have to go to each lock's settings and select on witch side of the door the lock is. I called the tech support number and you get automatic answers to common problems, trouble shooting, which did not address the above problem. They offer to call back before 24 hrs. and they did. You see this phone is answered somewhere in China and time zones come into play. I was called back at 9 PM by Niki who was extremely nice and solved all my problems and questions. She was polite, and well informed. I wish all support calls everywhere would be answered by people like her. The locks have been working fine since then. I would like to add that in order to link the lock to wifi you need to get the "Gateway" link. This has to be within 30 feet of the lock and be in range of your wifi network. The "Advance Options" is not entirely available now but you do not have to pay to use it. Select the trial period and do not renew it for now. Again thanks to Niki for saving the day for me. Richard

Worked great for about 15 months, but now we are forced to use only the key. The batteries drain really fast (within a week) and you can hear it just struggling to lock and unlock. I went to get a key copied today and Ace advised they can't copy it because it's shorter than an average key and they don't have anything comparable. I loved the amount of options included with this product, but we only used the keypad and now keys. (Heads up, the code can include wrong numbers and still work.) We never did use the key tag feature, and weren't able to set it up to unlock from the app.

Between our kids frequently misplacing their keys and family coming in from out of town, my wife and I are constantly walking up and down our stairs to unlock the front door. It's become irritating, especially when we're already relaxing comfortably on our couch. So, we decided to upgrade to a smart lock to give our family and guests more options for getting into the house, even without a physical key. A lot of research went into getting a smart lock. Whatever we went with needed to be easy to install and program, as well as provide a variety of options for entry, including physical keys. Most brands, including Weiser and Schlage, had interesting options, but they were all missing some key feature. When we stumbled onto Smonet, we weren't sure about it because we'd never heard of the brand. But it was close to $100 CAD and had some decent reviews. Since we could return the lock if it didn't meet our needs, we ordered the Smonet Smart Deadbolt to give it a try. We were not disappointed. I had this deadbolt installed within 30 minutes. It would have taken far less time, but the holes in our front door weren't properly cut decades ago. I had to modify the door to accommodate a modern lock (would have been the same issue regardless of what brand we went with). I popped in four batteries, opened the Next Lock app, and started programming FOBs, passcodes, and fingerprints without an issue. I got some extra keys copied for the people in my home who like to have a physical key as a backup, but everyone has been using their passcodes or fingerprints to get in since the lock was installed. To be honest, the fingerprint scanner is ultra sensitive. If your finger is dirty or sweaty, you're not likely to get a good reading. Myself, I've been happy with the keypad and entering my code. A bonus feature is the auto-lock. I am well-known for getting distracted and accidentally leaving the deadbolt unlocked. The auto-lock feature allows you to set the time the deadbolt will automatically lock, so you never have to worry about keeping your family protected. The app is pretty decent. Easy to navigate, shows me the battery life, allows me to unlock and then lock the door from wherever I am in the house. Very versatile little unit. There are so many other features we don't use, like Apple Watch, Alexa, and Google Home, but could if we wanted to. Lastly, the physical key can be copied using a Schlage SC1 key-blank. Don't go to Home Depot, Rona, or any other general hardware store as they have no clue how to cut these keys. Go directly to a reputable locksmith and tell them to use an SC1. I made multiple copies successfully. If you're in the market for a smart lock for your home, we'd highly recommend the Smonet Smart Deadbolt. I kind of wish we had more doors in the house. I'd get another one in a heartbeat.

Looks nice, has lots of functionality with the app, was easy to install. Have not run into any issues with it. However, there are a few things I noticed with this smart lock. This smart lock boasts bluetooth capability and I had thought it would use bluetooth proximity from my phone to lock/unlock, but it can't. For example if I got home and walked to the door with my phone in my pocket, the smart lock would unlock. However, this lock does not have that feature. In addition, the material the touchpad is made of will make it very evident of what buttons are being pressed over time. So you will need to either clean the touchpad every once in a while or change your passcode to use other numbers, for security purposes. Lastly the keys that come with the smart lock look and feel very cheap.

I installed this on my second unit of my home, and while it has plenty of good features, there are a few areas that could be improved. Pros: - Keyless Entry: The touchscreen keypad is responsive, and the keyless feature is really cool. - Bluetooth Connectivity: Pairing with the app was straightforward, and controlling the lock remotely via Bluetooth has been reliable. The app also makes it easy to manage passcodes and monitor usage. - Auto-Lock Feature: The auto-lock functionality is very convenient. - Sleek Design: The lock looks modern and blends well with most door aesthetics. Cons: - Battery Life: The batteries drain faster than expected, especially with frequent usage or in colder climates. Be prepared to replace them every couple of months. - No Wi-Fi Without a Hub: This doesn’t support Wi-Fi out of the box. If you want remote access from anywhere, you’ll need to purchase a separate hub. - Setup Process: While the physical installation was manageable, the software setup took longer than expected due to some connectivity hiccups. Final Thoughts: It's a good price for a solid mix of convenience and security. However, adding a hub for Wi-Fi or improving battery life would make it even better. If you're okay with Bluetooth and occasional maintenance, it’s a great choice for a keyless upgrade.

I purchased 4 of these locks as Christmas gifts for my family. The intention was to find something dependable with an easy to manage app that allowed for customization for multiple users. It has now been 4 months since they were installed and my family is so happy with their locks. The fact that you can use a key, a finger print, enter a code, use your phones Bluetooth, the ic fobs or even your watch; makes this a very versatile lock with current technology and customizations. Today I had to visit my daughters and made it to her house before her. She was able to send me a temporary code from the app so that I would be able to get in, that was impressive and so convenient. This feature is also useful if you have trades or guests coming that only require temporary access with an expiry time/date that you can set or revoke at any time. Convenience and security have all been well thought out for a lock that costs considerably less than other brands on the market. It was necessary to contact their support line recently because the unit I purchased for my father was having problems. I found it most helpful to contact them through their WhatsApp because of the time difference. They did some troubleshooting with me and determined that the unit should simply be replaced. Within 10 hours there was a delivery at my dad’s door with a replacement unit. To say we were shocked at how fast they resolved our issue is an understatement. They went above and beyond to back up their warranty and were fantastic to deal with. So knowing that the features aligned perfectly with our expectations and the support exceeded even some of the bigger names I’ve used in the past; I will continue to support this brand going forward. J’ai eu beau changer les batteries plusieurs fois en pensant que c’était ça le problème mais malheureusement c’est tout simplement la serrure qui a décider de ne plus fonctionner. Elle n’émet plus un son ni ferme. Plus rien. Très déçu.
