i had no clue that the flax seeds was not grounded. it is too heavy to return so i did not bother. the seller should note that the seeds are not grounded and the buyer will need to ground it themselves. unfortunately, the product is misleading.

This is really nice flax seed, I'm enjoying it. Do be careful when you open the can though— the rim is so thick that my can opener couldn't really handle it. It must need some kind of industrial-sized opener. I did eventually get it open, but it was kind of hazardous work.

At first i ignored the white seeds and put some of it though my grinder. After putting 2 tablespoons into a drink I fix so I can feel the seeds and even do the munchies, I found sharp pieces in my mouth. When I took them out I found some were the black parts of the plant and some were white and brittle. My teeth couldn't break them up an they were tiny. Worried about what might happen in my intestines with them I have started go though the rest of the seeds I haven't ground and pick out these pieces with a pair of tweezers. Surprised at how much is there. I don't have a way of doing a photo or I would. Will not buy here again and I have been doing it for years. Sad.

I use this product with flax seed oil and cottage cheese.

Seed very good quality and clean.
