Best I've used
This stuff works great. I have a 600 fountain/pont with plants, fish, gravel, lilies, and it gets debris like leaves, blossoms, branches, etc blown into it. I try to keep it clean but between fish waste, and dead material from both pond plants and trees, and algae, it is a chore. Other products have done little. And I think this stuff is helping with the algae too. After about three months, the cement walls are almost clear of algae, and there is less and less new floating algae, similar to string algae, but not as strong. I don't know where the string algae went, or maybe the new weaker stuff is the string algae, just weaker because of this stuff. Without the algae growing on the walls and plants, and dying and sinking to the bottom, I can actually see the bottom again even a few days after cleaning. Right now, I am still cleaning a little, but if things keep improving, it might not be needed. Maybe this stuff works by digesting whatever the algae was using for food, but my lilies are doing great, as are the other pond plants. I have been treating every 9-10 days, with maybe 1 1/2 times the dose, but only after seeing that it didn't affect the fish. The only problem is that my plecos and algae eaters are going to need something to supplement their diets if this keeps reducing the amount of algae I have.

Not as effective as more costly types.
Am using this in aquariums, where it seems it is not as effective as more costly sludge or nitrogen removers. It is cost effective. To use in an aquarium: put in a finest mesh bag or nylon stocking to not cloud water.

This stuff really WORKS!
A little goes a long way, i use 1/4 tsp per week for my 400 gal pond, and it keeps it CRYSTAL CLEAR. Worth every cent. keeps cloudy water at bay that I had been struggling with for years, struggle no more!

Did not work for me
The first shipment came burst open in the packaging. Applied as directed, had absolutely no effect on algae, just made the water cloudy for a brief period of time.
