Klein Tools 56335 25-Foot x 1/4-Inch Flat Electrical Fish Tape, Steel

If you need to run wires/cables through walls and ceilings, you really need this. I have used this so many times over the years and it's flexible enough to get through small places but strong enough where it doesn't just bend around and not go through. I used my son's for a couple of years now because I didn't think I needed it that often and he only lives about ten minutes away. But after needing it again this past weekend and him being out of town (I still could have gone to his house to get it but I didn't want to), I just ordered my own. It's not that expensive and something you always need at some point so why not have it hanging in the garage for when you do??? Stop thinking about it and just buy it.

I was installing a power transfer switch for a generator, I fought to get my wire through the wall and into my crawl space for 3 days. I finally decided I needed to get a tool to help get it through. Once I for this thing maybe took 10 minutes to get it through. I'm super glad I bought it

Works awesome at a cheap price. Klein makes one of the best tools, appears durable and will most certainly help with snaking wires.

This is what they claim but it would be 100 times more useful if it came with just a couple small items. Like a chain or hook or related and a better way to attach stuff (has a tiny hole). If they could just add a couple small items and charge a couple bucks more - the value and functionality would increase exponentially (and you can always use an extra hook or chain or...) right? Especially if DESIGNED to attach to the tiny hole! If you are getting this to snake some cables in your walls/ceiling/etc. for your first time; maybe look for kit that includes a chain, weights, hooks, etc. where everything is designed to work/screw together. I knew I would have to acquire or make these items to use with it before I bought this (I used coat hanger, twine and scraps - lol) - but in retrospect I wish I would have just got the glow poles kit that includes pretty much everything for about the same price; but I wanted this for extreme corners (this would be great for conduit). It turns out it was just kind of meh useful for my situation (had to cut an access panel anyway) and that's all on me; but I would have done better/faster with a kit. Just know it is lacking a couple cheap items to make it useful right out of the box - so just consider if you may do better with a kit. Enjoy your fishing!

I needed to pull new taillight wires on my 14’ utility trailer from tongue to taillight. The tongue “V” attached below the trailer side frame channel and wires would have to ascend through a 1/2” hole in bottom of side frame channel several feet in front of the tandem axles before reaching the taillights. The flat steel Fish line made it to the tongue to frame junction and with a little guidance passed through the 1/2” hole and made its way to the taillights. Wrapped the wires to the Fish and slowly and gently pulled the wires through the 1/2” hole and down through the tongue. Perfect! This attests to the strength and flexibility of the Klein Tools 56335 Flat Steel Electrical Fish Tape (25’).

Bought it to run a length of black rubber hose through my old door seals, and wow this was a great help. Absolutely worth having one of these at this price. Solid build quality, and it is a tool brand I always can trust.
