Nice little phone
Seems like a quality phone and get about 2 days out of the battery. I have ordered a spare battery at £3 cant go wrong as I always like a spare battery. Pretty resposive to touch although have found myself pressing the screen a couple of times to get a response. For the money it is a thing phone, cameras nothing to write home about but they take decent videos and pics for a budget phone.Only problem I had was setup of Android 10 which apparent you need to skip the wifi setup and use mobile data for updates and setup wifi later. Support responds within a day as they seem to work overnight compared to UK.Overall a good experience although what also caught me out was the battery although installed when you get the phone has tape on the contacts which has to be removed for the phone to work.

Good smartphone with one serious (but fixable) bug
I'm leaving this review in the hope of saving others from wasting hours trying to fix the one small, but important, problem with this smartphone: By default, incoming calls do not ring audibly. After trying everything I could think of and searching the Web for an answer, I came back here and found a weird solution buried in the Questions section above: You have to install a ringtone app, like Zedge, from the Google App Store, use it to replace the (inaudible) built-in ringtone, and then uninstall the new app (unless you want to keep it of course).BONUS NOTE: In order for Zedge and this fix to work, you don't even have to agree to all the privacy consent questions Zedge throws up. Say no to all the data sharing questions, accept all the local (phone access) permission requests, and then use Zedge to set a tone (which you also have to download). You should then be able to dial into the phone (from another one) and hear it ring. After that, you can get rid of the new app.Apart from that annoying palaver, this is a reasonably powerful, responsive, and compact device at an excellent price, with a good screen and minimal bloatware installed. I have no idea how good the camera is, but the buttons and slots on the phone seem to work fine.

Virtually unusable in just about 5 months
The phone appeared to work well in the beginning but the battery has now started playing up. If I am lucky, I can it charged 10% overnight but most of the time it is not charging at all. It has virtually become unusable. The warranty conditions on Cubot suggest I need to send them to China for repairs etc. I think they know nobody is going to bother with that so I guess it is a wasted money. Amazon tried to put me in contact with the seller but seller isn't taking any responsibility.

A treat for an old dog
A replacement for a Samsung galaxy young 5 years old so far the Cubot 7 seems pretty good well made . I was impressed by the camera giving me 13 mega pixels . Comes with a protective case .For people whom are not hung up with Brand Elitism or techno trivia like myself who just need a more modern phone it is great alternative to the more expensive brand

Buy it
Not brilliant at anything but robust, well made and good performance for the money.

A decent phone
If one simply needs a phone for making calls, texting, emails and taking photos, this is an excellent choice. It does all these very efficiently - as well as having all the other usual apps etc if required. The fact that it is relatively compact in size is also an advantage.

Good little phone.
A great little phone, never lets me down but is small. If you're used to a large screen and typing fast on a large keyboard then this is not for you. It's a little fat but works well. I use it for a back up as the battery never runs dry too fast. Ha great connectivity. Is about the size of a iPhone 3 but fatter and less sharp.
