I really wanted one of these back in March so we could quickly check each other for fever and also check visitors to screen for Covid-19 and other infections that cause fever. There are a few available now at reasonable prices and for next day delivery. I particularly like this one with its quick easy setup and almost instant read out. Its clearly aimed also at parents with babies because as well as getting an accurate reading of body temperature from the forehead there is also an object mode denoted by a picture of a baby's bottle.To use, pull the trigger to turn it on. Check the mode a picture of a face shows it is in forehead mode. hold the thermometer about 2 inches (50mm) from your forehead pull the trigger again and wait less than a second for a short tone and read the measurement directly. If your temperature is in the normal range or even a bit low the background will stay green, if you have a mild fever 99.5 to 100.3 degrees (37.5 to 37.9 C) the background will be green if you have a high fever, between 100.4 and 109.4 degrees (38 to 43 C) the background will be red.There is an alarm beep if you temperature is below 93.2 (34C) and the background will be red, the same happens if your temperature is above 109.4 (43C). In either case urgent action will be needed.

I bought this as a safety measure so that we can test anyone visiting our business premises as we have to be seen as doing the right thing during this COVID period.Its works straight out of the box once you add a couple of AAA batteries, we had our temp tested within seconds. It seems to be very accurate and produces the result you would expect, It has both Celsius and Fahrenheit settings, there is also a 30 sec cut off which is really useful so that batteries are preserved.We have added it to our armoury of protection and its there should we need it, happy with my purchase

One of the best thing you can buy with this world pandemic going on. We have a similar one at work and I wanted to have one at home to check our temp regularly if we feel unwell. I have always hated the traditional thermometer to put under your armpits,... This thermometer takes literally a second to give you your current temperature in C/F. I compared the results against the thermometer we have in the office (which has been calibrated) and they both show the same results.It came with no batteries.You can also change the setting (by pressing a bottom) to check your food temperature so I keep this thermometer in our kitchen for when I bake :)

Bought to have a contactless alternative to our older ‘in ear’ thermometer.This is an incredibly easy to use thermometer which has a colour coded display - which lights up from green when temperature is in the ‘normal’ range & red when you’re in the either too hot or cold ‘danger zone’.A single button changes from centigrade to farenheit. Another stores past readings in the devices memory whilst the third allows you to check the temperature of either a person or a bottle of milk (for your child’s feed).A good value, easy to use thermometer option which is well worth having in the house given the current circumstances.

Put the batteries in and set Centigrade or Fahrenheit and you're away. Easy to use.The prices of these items seem to vary enormously. There does not seem to be any justification to spend a lot of money on an item that that just tells the temperature. If it was a quality piece of equipment then it would come with validation certificates etc. None of these do. I didn't buy the cheapest (perhaps I should have), and it certainly isn't the most expensive.It seems to work.

I bought this to be able to check mine and my families temperature in this time of uncertainty. As it it small, and very lightweight it is easy to carry in my bag. I will use it on any visitors to my house and when I come in contact with people ontop over social distancing. I will also carry it when I go abroad.It can be used in Fahrenheit or Celsius and automatically switches off when it it not being used. I can’t think of a better time to purchase this. Recommended.

Very good delivery (thanks Amazon) and works perfectly. Easy to use, all you need to do is point and press, the user will be able to see the information on the screen within seconds. Easy to use and understand for all ages. Highly recommend. Must have device for all homes.
