Looks like and feels like good steel.

I ordered the 4 pack of 1095 high carbon steel just to try them out and see if this company might be better than who i usually get 1095 from1- packaging was not the best basically the four pieces stuck together with packaging tape on both ends no effort to try to keep rust from forming2- these were shear cut which leaves rough sides and anyone who has ever used a shear knows the pieces always have some sort of defect primarily a bow which with the pieces that is what has happened3- as far as the finish its pretty good no deep gouges or scrapes so thats a plus4- all in all i think i will stick with who i normally my steel from like i said these aren't the best but they are not the worst i have dealt with either but as a custom knife maker the more time I spend fixing issues the more time it takes to make a knife which means less productivity and less $$

I have ordered this product three times and have not been disappointed. The material arrives well packaged and in good condition. Dimensions are accurate and the flatness of the stock is acceptable, I have only had one piece out of 12 that had a slight bow to it, and it was easily flattened using a bench vice and some washers. Material arrives annealed as advertised, easily cut with a cutoff wheel on an angle grinder. Easily profiled using a variety of methods, i.e. belt grinder, sanding drum, files. Heat treats easily in my DIY ammo can forge and quenches in warm canola oil with no problem. I will continue to purchase this material.

Seems like nice quality. Very straight out of the package. Like that it’s made on the USA, not that foreign is bad but from what I understand USA made steel is better quality.
