The Sole Secret Button Tufted Ottoman with Shoe Storage, Bedroom Bench with Shoe Storage Slots, 20"H x 54"L x 18"D, Sachi Upholstery

Prior to the arrival of this storage bench, we were living a messy life in the front door area with kids' shoes (soccer, baseball, flip flops, sneakers, slippers, etc) and adult shoes all mixed up in a stew of chaos. Certainly, our front door was an embarrassment! Then I took it upon myself to search for benches that stored... shoes to eliminate the clutter. I searched for several days, comparing products and none had what I was looking for except for the Sole Secret solution. After we took delivery of the product, the bench feet screwed in quickly and within 15 minutes our front door area was free of clutter!The details:- as advertised, the bench does fit size 12 shoes and closes perfectly- in one of the slots, I am able to fit: - 3 pairs of size 12 flip flops - 2 pairs of size 1 shoes - 6 pairs of size 1 flip flops- the bench arrived with everything put together except for the legs which I screwed on in a flashIf you have any questions, their customer service is very friendly and timely. IMO, if you have a home without a front door closet, then this is the solution for you. See attached pics.

Nice bench, well made overall. The dividers are a bit flimsy and move around easily. Putting the legs should have been easy, but there is a plastic cap covering the entire screw on each leg that wasn't mentioned in the instructions so we thought we received the wrong part. You have to unscrew the protective cap and remove it in order to install it to the bench. The hydraulic lift arm had somehow cracked and the left arm broke off completely within a day. I contacted Amazon to find out how to obtain a replacement part, but was told my only option was to return the storage bench for a refund then repurchase it again. What a pain! I asked for the manufacturers contact info and was told there was no guarantee of a resolution. After a few tries I was able to reach someone at MJL Furniture. They Fedex'd a new lift arm at no charge and I received it the next day! I am very impressed with how MJL Furniture Designs resolved the issue when it had already started to become a nightmare. I give the bench 5 stars primarily because of my excellent customer service experience with them.

Would give it a 5-star rating once this issue is resolved. The screws that hold it together already came apart. Pic attached.

One of the hinges broke off within 2 weeks. I will update this rating once I find out how to get this fixed.UPDATE 10/31/2017: I am a bit surprised that I am not seeing more issues related to the cheap metal material breaking off the hinge. I am updating my review of this product after receiving a replacement of the entire unit. The hinge broke off AGAIN after about a month of use. Strangely, the unit is not used very often perhaps opened once per day at best. My three star rating of this product still stands. I would pay a hundred dollars more for this product if the hinges wouldn't stop breaking off! Trying to contact the manufacturer of this unit has not been easy in the past.

I would have given this a 5 star review but we had to replace the screws because they were stripped and too short. Once we did that, the ottoman works great and there is plenty of room for shoes. I haven't filled it up yet because the room that it is going in is being remodeled. However, the shoe pockets are very deep and one could hold two pairs of my size 71/2 sandals. I think probably only one pair of tennis shoes will fit in a pocket though.

I was disappointed initially. My first order arrived without holes for the feet and the shoe partition was torn. However, Amazon immediately arranged for it to be picked up and placed a rush order for a replacement. I love this bench. It is well made and sturdy. It's simply a pretty piece of furniture and useful for additional storage. I'm happy with it.

This is exactly what we needed for the shoe clutter in our bedroom. It was a matter of minutes to attach the legs and, so far, no issues with the hinges or screw. It is a very attractive bench and the fabric upholstery is of good quality. Very pleased with the function and look of this bench.

Absolutely love it but....the Sea Mist Green is not Green at all but a Pale Blue. Now I'm going to have to exchange it for Ecru, because that goes with everything. This will be a huge hassle due to the large size and weight of this thing
