Monster HTS 950 8 Outlet PowerCenter with Clean Power Stage 1

I ordered the Monster HTS 950 to power my treadmill, of all things. Every time one of us used our Sole treadmill, it would take down our DSL service. The technical support group for Sole suggested I try this power center to filter out the noise caused by the treadmill, and it worked like a charm. Now, our DSL is running perfectly while the treadmill is in use.The build quality of the unit seems to be quite good, although I am clearly not using a fraction of its capabilities. I especially like the long, rubberized cord that comes on it (not like cheap, stiff plastic cords most electronics come with these days. The only other observation (I hate to call it negative) I have about the power center is that it is really large. From the picture, I guess I should have been able to predict this, but I was really surprised to see how big it is. In my case, it doesn't matter, but, if I was trying to us it inside a home theater cabinet with space restrictions, it could be a problem. The positive side of it's size, however, would be that it would accommodate AC adapter plugs much better than a smaller strip.

This is an excellent Home theater power supply. I had 1 unit for several years originally purchased at Best Buy powering my equipment. There is a safety feature that disables some of the ports if there is any flux in power. In my old apartment, the button was often times switched off so my equipment didn't get damaged. I recently bought a new entertainment center with an electric fire place and mini fridge. With all my equipment, including tv, Xbox one, receiver, clock, universal remote charger and the two new appliances, it was as you can probably guess, too much of a load. The entire unit blew. This was indicated by a siren sound that I had never heard before. I unplugged it from the wall and left it for a few days. I then ordered 2 more of this exact unit from amazon since 1 was not enough. I have been powering all of my equipment including the fire place and mini fridge for the last 3 months and I have not had a single issue. Planning to buy more for other rooms in the house.

My son had a similar outlet power center and when we upgraded our TV and adjoining stereo, I thought I should have a more dependable surge protector. This baby is definitely a "monster." It has enough plugs for just about anything you would need for your entertainment system. It even has the various plugs labeled, making it easier to figure out which plug goes to what device when all you can see are the plug ends deep in your entertainment cabinet.My son has used the same outlet power center for a year or so and has been very satisfied with it. We have used our own for a few months with no issues whatsoever. Of course, one will never know unless lightning strikes and everything else in the house blows up! But I feel at ease that this will not happen to our expensive entertainment equipment. We are very happy with the product.

I'm a big fan of monster power products, I've had a 2500 power center on a High end Panasonic plasma for 5 years, the TV was a Best Buy store demo and had hundreds of hours on it when I got it, it was on a identical power station in the store, this TV should have quit ages ago but it's still the best looking TV in the house, I just bought a new house and a 70" 4K for the living room and hoping this will be as valuable as the 2500 power center

We use this to power our entertainment items and for quite some time it was just ignored as it did its job, then came the day that we had a sudden and unexpected power surge that fried our Monster with a loud "pop". However, none of our electronics that were plugged into the Monster were damaged because of the built in circuit breaker. Needless to say, we replaced the fried Monster ASAP. I would recommend these, they are worth the money.

Cost is slightly high but well worth it to have clean power included in the Surge protector unit. After the loss of all Home Theater equipment / TV, Stereo, Playstation, Router, Cable Moden, etc.. Would recommend this to everyone. Just wish I had purchased it sooner... Cost is cheap compared to replacement cost of above mentioned equipment.

It worked great for about three weeks. Now the switched outlets don't work at all. I don't know what happened. I own at least eight other monster products and they have all worked great for years. I wouldn't ever buy this model again. I'm not sure if I can return it either.Anyone else have this problem?

We bought this to replace the old power outlet that we had bought from by brother-in-law who had it 4 years before us. We had it for 8 years after that! It worked great so we decided to buy another. This one seems to be working just as well. It is lighter than the last one but most things you buy now are.
