Another tremendous resource for building up and strengthening Catholic families from Dr. Popcak. Very practical - not just the philosophy/theology, but rubber-hitting-the-road hands-on advice. In a world noisily clamoring for all our time and attention, families struggle in finding that still small voice calling them to draw closer to one another and to Him. Discovering God presents the essential lesson that discovering God is not just a personal endeavor, but a communal one - critical for the domestic church to flourish. I also appreciate that while packed full of practical help, it is a warm, comfortable book - one that can be enjoyed fireside curled up on the couch or a favorite chair.

My husband and I are so thankful for this book! It has made a huge difference in our family. Our prayer life is better, our kids are more involved and even going to Church is easier. Every Catholic parent NEEDS to read this book!

A short, easy read full of good advice for helping to connect our little ones to the faith. It is well organized. One note: the book is more focused on small children, under the age of 10, although there is some treatment of the teenage years through young adulthood. The primary focus is on younger children.

In a cultural climate where family and faith can be fiercely antagonized, we need more than ever to have the ability to grow strong and deep family roots into our faith. The Popcaks clearly, faithfully and practically map out how we achieve this in our families and kids. In the end, this book provides so much more to be hopeful for in our families than to be worried for.

Popcak offers a road map to disciple your kids in a relational approach in the Catholic faith. It's practical and he gives us a lot to ponder!
