Size:7 oz Ghee is just the oil part of the butter. The lactose, casein, and milk solids have completely been removed. Mostly ghee is used as a cooking oil. It has a 485 degree smoke point and will not break down like other oils and fats do at lower temps. Ghee does not need to be refrigerated. It is considered a non-dairy food by the USDA. Ghee has a high content of butyric acid which has been proven to not only reduce inflammation in the body, but also directly feed nerve and brain tissue. Ghee also aids in absorption and facilitates detoxification therapies. Because ghee is mostly made up of short chain saturated fat, your body burns through it very quickly as an energy source; it does not store it away. This ghee has been aged for a minimum of 30 days.

Pricey but very good taste & quality. I could probably find it for less $$ locally. That being said, I enjoy using it in place of butter & love that I can store it in my pantry w/o refrigeration!
