Buy a drill and a saw, build anything else yourself...
There were a few pros for me, given the current pandemic: 1. It was shipped to my house and I didn’t have to go into a store, and 2. All of the hardware was included.Other than that, I doubt that my children (4 and 2) will enjoy this play set for much longer. Cons: The wood is a thin, cheap cedar product (although it does smell good) and the kit consists of a handful of 2x4s but mostly 1xs for framing. Once complete and anchored, you will find that a 30lb child on the swing will cause the sound of creaking and movement of the support beams.I have previously built a play set kit from Lowe’s (15 years ago) that is still in solid condition. This product will not last that long. I could have saved a good bit by just buying a few 4x4s, 2x6s and 2x4s with the play hardware. However, as I said, given the current pandemic this was the most convenient choice.

Good for young kids
Overall, this is a good swingset for a toddler. There were many places where you had to predill holes while assembling. Some boards came cracked. The 3 screws at the top of the slide are ill designed - they will tear a childs clothing. The underneath area is too small to put a sandbox. We got this for our 3 year old and he loves it but there is no way a 10 year old would enjoy this (age recommendation says 3 to 10) I would say age 6 or 7 max. The wood is cedar but it not super sturdy, I dont remember the max weight but I would say around 80lbs-100lbs. Install took 3 guys about 12 hours.

This is a cute playground, but it is not worth it.
This is a cute playground, but it is not worth it. The playground is constructed out of 1x4s and 2x4s. They didn’t even provide 4x4 post for the main structure. The playground is not very sturdy and definitely wont last. The playground is supper small and basically made for a 2 to 5 year old. The playground shakes when my 8 and 10 year old nephews get on it. As a builder I wish I had just built one myself this was not worth the time or money. I’m so disappointed. I will likely take this one down in 2 years.

but overall it was easy to set up
The ordering and delivery of this playset when very smoothly and quickly. My dad, who is very handy, put this together by himself in 3 days. He only needed an extra set of hands a few times, but overall it was easy to set up. I can only give it theee stars because some of the pieces did not fit together correctly, and some of the planks of wood are already peeling!! I'm afraid that a child is going to get a splinter at some point. I may have to go over a few spots with a sander, for my own piece of mind. Also, it says it's for kids up to 10 years old, but my 8 year old can't swing very high or the sides of the playset want to lift off the ground. Overall, I'm pleased with the playset for our household use, but the quality could be better.

You get what you pay for.
We’ve had this for over a year now. My daughter and her friends love it BUT I don’t think it will last too many more years. The cedar is fading quickly. The table is very wobbly. If there are more than 2 small kids swinging at a time then the whole thing rocks back and forth even being staked in the ground. We will have to start replacing boards very soon to allow the kids to continue playing on it safely.

Wood pieces splinter
We were disappointed by the product. The product has many good attributes and the quality of metal pieces, plastic were good - but our disappointment was in the quality of the wood. The wood splintered a lot during installation. Fine splinters pierced our fingers making wearing a glove a requirement while installation. I am now worried to allow my children play in this because of splintering. The wood is light and there is a lot of squeaking sound - the playset may be strong enough, but it did not feel strong.

Bends under the weight of a two year old
This took longer than ten hours for two adults. Unless you do this all the time it will take longer. The app instructions contradicted the written instructions. The two side panels needed to be changed after they were put together because the sides were wrong on the instructions. The ladder holes were on the wrong side if you follow the instructions. Had to drill new holes for the ladder. My two year old twins dance in the play house and the boards bend under them. Together they're not even 50 pounds. One of the picture shows several kids, and older, in the play house. Has only been up for a week and it's already falling apart. Not worth the money. If it wasn't such a pain to take down I'd return it.

It’s cute, but...
The quality of the wood is absolutely terrible. It’s so lightweight and splits easily. The first gusty wind we had ripped the playhouse door out of the wood. We haven’t even had our swing set for a year and the splitting has become even worse. So many splinters! I had to take my one year old to have 11 splinters removed from his hands after playing on it one day this week. We have to keep screwing boards back down because they pop out of place. I will not purchase from Backyard Discovery again.
