CORSAIR 4GB Flash Survivor USB 2.0 Flash Drive

This thing is so SLICK. I love the heavy duty twist off cap. It has a solid aluminum construction and a water tight seal. The only complaint I have is that the USB portion inside the unit is glued onto the cap, which sometimes may come off. I took a toothpick to apply a thin liner of epoxy all around the edge of that to keep it permanently in. In my case, it never fell off before this so it might not even need the gluing. But it's still nice just in case. On a side note, this is a great piece of work since I do use it to boot USB pocket linux as well as boot installers for Windows XP onto machines that do not have a CD ROM drive. It works FAST and great for all these purposes. I have also partitioned this unit using TrueCrypt, an open source encryption utility to create a super private key as well. Multi-purpose everything. U3 also works on this if you so choose.

I have a Corsair Voyager 2GB and it still works fine, however, I carry it in my pocket so it was starting to bend. This device is great to carry in your pocket, it's solid. It also comes with truecrypt which I'm really happy with, you don't have to partition your hadrdrive, you basically have a fully encrypted file on your drive that you mount as a separate drive on your computer. The other nice thing is that you can create as many encrypted drives(files) as you need and as big as you need. Overall very happy with the product.

This may be a bit early since I just received the darn thing, but this is my 3rd flash drive in about a year and I don't see myself destroying this one as I have the others because it comes with a cord. You plug the drive into the cord and plug the cord into the PC. Because of this cord, I don't see me accidentally kicking the drive out of the PC ever again.If you destroy drives on a fairly regular basis, do try this one.

The photo is wrong. I didn't purchase memory cards. I purchased flash driives. I still use it now. The construction of it is awesome.

This is one of the fastest jump drives I have ever used. It is also well built , strong and can with stand about anything. It is actually much smaller then I thought it would be.Great service and fast as well. Thanks

I am satisfied with my purchase so far; I decided to give Corsair a shot because I took negative reviews of other brands, like SanDisk and Kingston, very seriously. I wanted a reliable, stylish flash drive and was willing to pay a reasonable premium for it.I was considering Sony as well because I have a Sony flash drive that I have been using for years and still works very well, but I went with Corsair because of the cool design.Also, transfer rate seems to be adequately fast.

This is a very good value for the money. Transfer rates are high. It also looks nice and seems to be very durable. I own the product for a month and I had no problems with it so far:)

I bought the flash drive to put music on and send to my brother in Iraq. He absolutely loved it. I had no problem getting it, and the price was right.

i beat the crap out of this thing and it still works great, i had it for about 4 years now and its still in perfect working order. The only way you would stop being able to use this is if you lose it.

Von den 4GB sind tatsächlich 3,74GB verfügbar, das ist meiner Meinung nach ok. Leider lässt der Stick sich nicht auf NTFS formatieren.Robust und wasserdicht ist der Stick wohl schon. Was mich etwas enttäuscht, ist die Geschwindigkeit. Ich hatte bei Alternate gelesen, der Stick würde bis zu 22,5MB/s Schreibgeschwindigkeit schaffen, tatsächlich sind es aber nur 6,7MB/s. Die dort angegebene Lesegeschwindigkeit von 20MB/s wird eingehalten, soviel leistet der Stick dann wohl. Ich weiß nicht woher Alternate die Angaben bezogen hat, der Hersteller selbst sagt dazu nichts aus. Aber von so einem doch recht hochpreisigen Produkt hätte ich mehr erwartet.

stick der mir von der formgebung her gefällt. lässt sich etwas schwer öffnen (drehen). auch nach etwas einölen, hält es nicht lange. funktioniert schon seit längerem. Daten drauf mit denen ich nichts anfangen kann.
