Skype for Business users: Before you even THINK about using this phone for SFB, make sure you update to at least ver 5.6. Mine came with 4.1 and was useless. You can easily upgrade the ver via the web interface. Also, once you enable SFB, the web interface doesn't work anymore unless you re-enable it on the phone. (in advanced settings). It's also best if you use the Polycom BToE software. All this is 20/20 to me now, but I was about to return this phone until I watched a few youtube vids to get me through the initial setup.I'll update my review after a few weeks, but for now it's working fine with Skype.

Voice clarity is excellent on both ends. All the essentials features and plenty of extras to satisfy more demanding use cases as well as go completely unused in most scenarios. Two small gripes. The hook tab and/or the indent for it are too small, resulting in surprisingly difficult time to get the receiver back onto the phone quickly and with confidence that it will not slide off. When picking up the phone with the receiver and afterward switching to the speaker, it is not possible to put the receiver back as that disconnects the call completely.

I'm using this as a home office phone, integrating with Office 365's Skype for Business PSTN feature... I love it. So a couple things of note: 1) It doesn't come with a power supply, so you'll need to buy a power supply or make sure you can plug it into a POE Switch or POE Injector. 2) Out of the box it didn't have the necessary firmware to work with Office 365 Skype for Business. So you'll need to upgrade the firmware to the latest and greatest to configure it to use Skype for Business.

We have ordered these several times and we have 50 of them now. Most of the negative reviews I see on here are because of lack of knowledge about configuration or the users network issues. These are great VOIP phones and we have used them successfully for years to replace old Polycom 501 phones. We have not had a failure out of more than 50 of these VVX 300. We do have our own internal Zultys VOIP PBX so that makes configuration easy.

These aren't the highest end phones, but made by PolyCom, so they are good phones. They do everything needed of an SIP phone, but not with all the bells and whistles of higher end phones. Great phones.

These phones look amazing but ther was no direction with them. I am not a college grad so working with dial tone is about all that i can accomplish. The tech stuff will go unused. A real shame!

I have been using this phone for about a year in my home office. It was incredibly easy to setup, much easier than another phone I own (Grandstream). The sound and build quality are great. There are not a bunch of fancy features, but what it lacks there it makes up for it quality. I highly recommend it if you need an inexpensive VoIP phone
