Take It to Your Seat Science Centers, Grades PreK-K

This science pre-k book was perfect for an autistic child with whom I have been working. We would cut out the items on the pages together and when done glueing them together, we'd hang up the finished pages. The book is beautifully done and simple, just as we needed. Since we finished the book, I've bought a different one and it is not nearly as simple and straightforward. It has too much information which is confusing for this child. It made me realize how perfect this book was for our needs.

I love Evan Moor workbooks for homeschooling, especially the ‘Take it to your seat ‘ and Skill Sharpeners series. Appropriate content, common core aligned, fun and entertaining activities, cute illustrations without being overwhelming! I plan to continue purchasing for next grades as well.

I am using Science Centers for my kindergartner. Each section comes with an activity and a single-page worksheet that evaluates what the child has learned in the activity. The illustrations are engaging and the activities are simple, focusing on a single science concept. Perfect for preschoolers and kindergartners. An excellent supplement to a core curriculum.

I love all the ideas this has. I will be using it in my homeschool.

I bought this because I am planning on homeschooling my 6 year old in the fall. (He turns 6 in October) I love the concept, and it is very thoughtfully put together But it is SUPER basic. By kinder, this stuff should be cemented in the space of a conversation or an episode of Blues Clues - not worth the effort to laminate and make a center out of. Putting together a 4 piece puzzle of a flower or the sun? Am I am plant or an animal? Choosing what clothes to wear on a snowy day? A few of them are more challenging, and I may go ahead and prepare these for when my little ones hit preschool, but I went ahead and ordered the 1st-2nd grade one for my 6 year old. It seems to cover the same topics, but with a little more detail. But, I guess I should keep in mind, I will have the luxury of working one on one with him since it is home school. If I were a teacher teaching an entire classroom, I might need to dial it down a notch, and this would be perfect.

As a special education preschool teacher, I am constantly on the search for activity based learning opportunities and activities that enhance/review topics we discuss and explore. This is what I was looking for. Though I won't use all of them, I found most topics are themes I use in a school year. It's a bit of work to get together, but worth the effort. I use these in teacher directed centers to reinforce what we are learning, or in the student's individual task boxes. Great product! Take It to Your Seat Science Centers, Grades PreK-K

It is very easy for a 3 yrs old.We will sure buy the other grades in the future. My daughter loves this.

Easy to make and use. Everything you need is included. Colorful and appealing to children. I used colored 9x12 envelopes instead go folders or bags.

My child and I really love this book. It has useful activities and the child will not feel bored with writing/learning with books only...those activities are very interactive. I really hope this publisher will have more and more books (in different subjects) like this. Also, it would be better if you can make the pictures even more colorful in order to attract the children more.
