My great-nieces are seven and three. I Googled “best gingerbread houses” and ran across an article in the New York Times that recommended this particular gingerbread house and pointed out that it came with had clips to hold it together, rather than just icing. I ordered it and gave it to them as one of their Christmas presents. It was a huge hit. With a little help from Dad, it was easy for them to assemble, and the decorations were plentiful and lots of fun to apply. Plus it tasted divine. Auntie M hit a home run with this one as far as both kiddos and parents were concerned.

Easy to put together because it comes with plastic supports for the roof and for the walls. You do have to take care not to break the gingerbread pieces. The icing is a bit more goopy than I would have liked but it dries relatively quickly. All in all, this was easy to make and would likely work well with kids as young as 6.

Can't comment on flavor because didn't eat it.Pretty easy to assemble (adult and 5 year old). Many m&ms broken.In Walmart box. Was it originally purchased at Walmart and price increased?

I only had one broken piece, I fixed it with Frosting thankfully. Other than that its pretty good

It was overall a decent product (cookie structure). And we did nibble on the gingerbread after we were done looking at our creative effort (tasted good). The kit was missing one of the frosting colors and the windows. We would have returned/replaced but the timing wasn’t good for that option so we made do with what we got. Order in advance or be prepared with other decorative options just in case.

Very easy to put together which was nice and was a fun activity with the boyfriend. But our house started slanting in and the colored frosting was very hard to decorate with

The product was shipped in a shipping bag instead of in a box like the other gingerbread houses purchased. The box and the main part of the gingerbread was damaged. This was supposed to be a gift, now unable to return the product. Plus once opened to check to see if damaged only 1 small bag of m & m's. WORST GINGERBREAD EVER!

Great product but the vendor put a tape on the box trying to hide the real price. It was originally about $16 but around Christmas prepare to pay over $30 for each.
